ANAMBRA GOVT RESCUES 13 CHILDREN FROM TRAFFICKERS, ARREST SUSPECTS. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country.              A statement from the Federal Ministry of Finance signed by Mr Marshall Gundu,Director,Press of the ministry said the Minister of Finance Mrs Kemi Adeosun has confirmed the payment to the oil marketers.Adeosun noted that President Muhammadu Buhari had directed that the payments should be ''Made immediately in order to bring to a quick end the lingering fuel crisis which has caused great suffering to Nigerian families and business''.The minister of finance also said that ''Despite dwindling revenues,the government is committed to ensuring continuous availability of fuel to Nigerians''.The wednesday payments to oil marketers she said ''Include arresrs from the 2014 financial year as well as payments for the current year''.

500 BOKO HARAM MEMBERS DETAINED IN NIGER,TO BE TRANSFERRED VERY SOON TO NIGERIAN PRISONS.

                     According to sources,Niger has agreed to transfer hundreds of prisoners from the militant Islamist group Boko Haram back to their home country of Nigeria to reduce pressure on its crammed prisons.A magistrate working on the case and who asked not to be named said ''Nigeria sent a working group to Niger last week and the two sides have established an initial list of 500 detainees who will soon be transferred to Nigeria''.He dis not give the exact timing of the transfer or say how the potentially dangerous prisoners would be transported.The prisoners are currently being held in the detention centers of Kollo,Diffa and Koutoukale,all of which are overpopulated due to arrests of Boko Haram militants.More photos below.                                                         ...

11 DEAD BODIES OF AFRICAN MIGRANTS,WERE RECOVERED FROM THE OCEAN BY MOROCCAN AUTHORITIES.

                     Today wednesday,Moroccan authorities said they have recovered the 11 bodies of African migrants whose boat sank apparently due to bad weather as they tried to cross to the Canary Islands.The bodies were recovered off Boujedor in the south of the country.Local authorities in the town of Layoun said one women was among the dead,but did not indicate how many other people may have been in the boat.A statement from the local authorities states that''The boat capsized on monday afternoon because of bad weather''.

THE NIGERIAN IMMIGRATION SERVICE,RAISED ALARM OVER THE INFLUX OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS INTO RIVERS STATE

                                    The Comtroller General of Immigration Service Martin Kure Abeshi disclosed this at the 2015 stakeholders conference organised by the Rivers State Command on National Development and Global Security Challenges.The Controller General Immigration who was represented by the Acting Controller General Zone E.M.O Shuaibu,said the security challenges around the border areas and the North East are responsible for the movement of people seeking for peaceful environment to dwell.He called for the collaboration of other security outfits in the state to ensure that the migrants in the state do not pose any security threat.The State Controller of Immigrstion Service,A.M.Haliru said the State Command has embarked on stiffer penalty and repatriation of expaatriates without relevant Visa and permit to work in Rivers State.

THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE DEMONSTRATED IN BAYELSA STATE TODAY,OVER THE CANCELLATION OF THE ELECTION IN SOUTHERN IJAW.

               The youths and women who were demonstrating today wednesday,barricaded major roads in Yenogoa,.to protest the cancellation of the election in Southern Ijaw Local Government Area by the Independent National Electoral Commission {INEC}.The youths who demanded the immediate sacking of the Resident Electoral Commissioner {REC} MR Baritor Kpagir,also called for the urgent release of the Southern Ijaw Election results.The youths said the REC erred for cancelling an election that had been conducted with results collated and pasted in various wards.Scores of physically challenged persons on wheelchair also joined the protest which was peacefully coordinated by armed riot policemen.More photos below.                                                                       ...

6 PEOPLE DIED TODAY IN A BUS/TIPPER ACCIDENT,AROUND JIMGBE LOKOJA,KOGI STATE.

                            Around 10:am today wednesday,a bus and two tipper trucks were involved in a ghastly accident that killed no fewer than six people.The commercial bus was attempting to over-take one of the tipper trucks right on Jimgbe bridge when it brushed the other and forcing both off the bridge.The six people that died were occupants of the commercial vehicle,including the driver.The oncoming tipper truck veered into the bush while trying to avoid head-on collition with both vehicles.A six of both tipper trucks however survived and were evacuated to a hospital for medical attention.
