 AU urges de-escalation as fighting displaces over 180,000 in South Sudan’s Jonglei state The Chairperson of the African Union Commission called for immediate de-escalation and strict adherence to South Sudan’s 2018 peace agreement, as renewed fighting in Jonglei State displaced more than 180,000 people and raised fears of further civilian harm. In a statement, African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf said he was deeply concerned by the deteriorating security situation in parts of the country, particularly Jonglei, where escalating violence and inflammatory rhetoric have put civilians—including women and children—at heightened risk. South Sudanese authorities estimate the number of displaced in Jonglei at more than 180,000, the United Nations humanitarian agency OCHA said last week. Anambra State Government Closes Wintess Garden Hotels Over Sex Party Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Culture , Entertainment and Tourism has closed down Wintess Garden Hotels Ifite Awka over the viral Sex Party that was allegedly held in the hotel. Days ago, videos of a Party emerged online where people were having sex while some were watching and recording the sex styles. Since then, different reactions have trailed that particular act and people urged the Government of Prof. Soludo to wade in and rescue the situation to avoid repeat of such immorality in the State capital.  Anambra State Government has finally commenced investigation and the first step is to temporary close the hotel where the event took place. The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon. The King and The Queen Consort will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow. Thursday  September 8,2022. She was 96 years old. 1926 - 2022. Rest in peace Queen.  Official press release from the palace
