 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. Michigan woman, Shanda Vander Ark, who constantly t****** and starved her 15-year-old to death because, "he snuck food" is sentenced to life in prison plus 50-100 years for child abuse on Tuesday. I have been watching this case and waiting to write on it until she was sentenced.  Warning- this is the most shocking case of child abuse I have ever heard about happening. Timothy Ferguson was a 15-year-old boy that had some behavior issues. Instead of getting Timothy the help he required, Timothy was t******* until his death. For the last several months of his life he was only allowed to eat one slice of bread with "Extreme Regret" hot sauce slathered on top of it. He was only allowed one slice a week. He was occasionally allowed two slices. Timothy's tongue lost all of its taste buds so he would just eat the bread to survive. Indiana man arrested on charges of raping a mentally disabled victim. 68-year-old Jeff Harvey of Patoka, Indiana has been after an investigation into a January 22nd incident. On January 22nd Princeton Indiana police were called to River Oaks Health Campus in relation to an incident involving an employee and a resident. After a investigation of the incident Harvey was charged with 1 felony count of "r*** when victim is mentally disabled or deficient." This is a ongoing investigation and no other information is available at this time.

North Carolina man dies after stealing an airplane from a Texas flight school. 22-year-old Logan Timothy James from Stokesdale, North Carolina was pronounced dead at the scene of a dramatic plane crash in Fannin County,Texas. According to official reports James had stolen the Cesna 172 from ATP Flight school Wednesday night.  The crash occurred around 8:30 pm in an open field around 10 miles outside of Telephone, Texas. James was issued his pilot's license in December and was renting an apartment in Allen, Texas. There are no reports on a motive for stealing the aircraft or the specific cause of the crash.

EFCC Arraigns Two in Maiduguri for N36.2m Fraud   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Maiduguri Zonal Command, on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, arraigned the duo of Haruna Gora Pama and Kadiri James, before Justice Tijjani G. Ringim of the Federal High Court, Maiduguri. They were arraigned on  two-count charges of money laundering and obtaining by false pretence to the tune of N36, 247, 937.72 (Thirty Six Million, Two Hundred and Forty Seven Thousand, Nine Hundred and Thirty Seven Naira, Seventy-two kobo). Court Jails Graduate One Year For Dating Scam In Lagos Justice  Deinde I. Dipeolu of the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, on Monday, January 22, 2024  convicted and sentenced one Ohaguim Ifeayin Emmanuel to one year imprisonment for dating scam. Emmanuel, a graduate of Computer Science from Chukwuemeka Odumegwu  University, Uli,  Anambra State , was arraigned by the Lagos Zonal  Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on January 19, 2024, on  two-count charges bordering on cybercrime. One of the counts reads: “That you, Ohaguim Ifeayin Emmanuel,  sometime in October, 2023, in Lagos, within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court, with intent to gain advantage for yourself, fraudulently impersonated one "Benjamin Valdez" by holding yourself out as such on your Google Account and you thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 22(2) (b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015.” He pleaded “guilty”

STYROFOAM: NO GOING BACK ON BAN AND USAGE IN LAGOS-LASG The Lagos State Government on Thursday maintained that there is no going back on the total ban of usage and distribution of Styrofoam in the State. The affirmation was made at a consultative meeting of the State with representatives of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) and Restaurant and Food Services Proprietor Association of Nigeria (REFSPAN) at the Alausa Secretariat.  Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab who spoke on behalf of the state said enough damage has been done already to the health of the people and the state of the environment. He said the only moratorium which the state is willing to offer all producers and distributors of Styrofoam is to delay commencement of enforcement of the ban by three weeks. Court sends Fubara’s loyalists to prison after arraignment on terrorism charges Justice Bolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday ordered that the five Port Harcourt-based men arraigned by the Federal Government on terrorism charges be remanded at Kuje Prison in Abuja. The suspects are to remain in prison custody till February 2 when their respective bail applications would be determined by the judge. The five defendants are Chime Eguma Ezebalike, Prince Lukman Oladele, Kenneth Goodluck Kpasa, Osiga Donald and Ochueja Thankgod. In the 7-count charge, the defendants were accused of committing alleged terrorism offences by invading, vandalizing and burning down the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex in the wake of political crisis that rocked the state in October last year. I never intended to marry a musician – Simi Nigerian Singer, Simi, has said she never intended to marry a musician. The singer stated this while narrating how she met her husband, Adekunle Gold, in an interview on the ‘Tea With Tay’ podcast. Simi said she met Adekunle as a graphics designer and thought he was just a fan who had been waiting to connect with her on Facebook. “I didn’t know my husband was singing when I met him because I already said I cannot marry a singer. I thought he was even a fan. He used to do this ‘King of Photoshop’ that time. “He sent me a message on Facebook but I never saw it nor did I reply.
