Nasarawa State government, said that, in view of its negative impact on the economy of the state, it will not borrow funds, only to pay salaries of workers. This was part of the resolutions arrived during an emergency, expanded executive council meeting, to review the ongoing strike action by the organized labour, which held at the Government House, on Friday. The state government also said that, it will not be distracted from its commitment to embark on meaningful projects. In a statement issued to the media, by Alhaji Musa Dangana, Chairman, Nasarawa State Civil Service Commission, the council maintained the earlier position of the government, to invoke the No-work-no-pay rule, stressing that, salaries for the month of June, 2021, is to be paid based on the attendance registers placed at various Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).
