 New Head of Service Urges Anambra Civil Servants to Embrace Efficiency and Accountability ‎ ‎By Chizoba Njaka  ‎ ‎The newly appointed Head of Service in Anambra State, Ngozi Anuli Iwouno, has called on civil servants to shift towards efficiency and accountability, promising improvements in welfare.  ‎ ‎Addressing staff at the Jerome Udoji Secretariat Complex in Awka, Iwouno outlined her vision for a professional, merit-based, and citizen-centered service that aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's goals. ‎ ‎Iwouno emphasized that her mission is not just a statement, but a call to action, demanding sincerity and commitment from all workers. She expressed disappointment with the recent governor's visit, which revealed empty offices during working hours, and stressed that absenteeism, lateness, and poor attitudes are unacceptable. ‎ ‎The Head of Service pledged to improve welfare, including fixing ministry vehicles, and mandated that Wednesday 1st April , 2026 will be clean...

                   Today sunday,Pope Francis landed in the capital of Central African Republic to begin the final leg of his first African trip and deliver a message of reconciliation and peace to a nation that have been having religious clashes between Muslims and Christians.The visit of the Pope to the country will be his first trip to a combat zone and his arrival is being welcomed by both majority Christians and the Muslim minority,both of whom hope his presence can foster renewed dialogue and ease violence.

RUSSIAN PRESIDENT PUTIN,SIGNED A DECREE THAT IMPOSED AN ECONOMY SANCTIONS ON TURKEY.

                Today sunday,it was reported that the President of Russia Vladimir Putin has signed a decree imposing economic sanctions against Turkey after the country shot down a Russian war-plane.Entering into force immediately,the Presidential decree said a ban of charter flights from Russia to Turkey will be introduced,and Russian tourism operators should stop selling tour packages to Turkey.Also,Turkish transportation companies shall be restricted in their operations in Russian Territories,while the import of certain goods from Turkey will be halted.

KANO STATE SENATOR ''SHEHU SANI'',DASHED OUT A THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED JAMB FORMS TODAY.

                Today sunday,the Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Local and Foreign debt,Senator Shehu Sani handed over free JAMB registration forms to one thousand two hundred students in the state.The first phase of the beneficiaries were selected from Kawo Hayin Banki,Kakuri,Ungwar Shanu,Ungwar Muazu,Tudun-Nupawa,Zango,Tudun-Wada,Ungwar Sanusi,Kinkinau,Badarawa and Ungwar Kagi.Addressing the beneficiaries at his Tudun-Wada campaign office during the presentation of the Free JAMB forms,Senator Sani said the decision to pay the registration fees was to encourage children of the poor to attain higher education.According to him,education unarguably is the power and it is only with sound education that any individual can be independent minded,acquire knowledge to break shackles of poverty as well as become self-reliant.He also Identified education as the panacea for addressing societal ill...

T.B JOSHUA,HIS TRUSTEES AND BUILDING ENGINEERS,TO FACE TRIAL TOMORROW.

                     According to the Deputy Director,Public Affairs,Ministry of Justice,Bola Akingbabe,who confirmed that tomorrow monday,the Lagos state government is to arraign in court trustees of Synagogue church and the building engineers contracted to supervise their church,that ended up collapsing.Senior pastor of the church,TB Joshua is one of the trustees and they will be arraigned at the Ikeja High court.A Coroner,Magistrate Oyetade Komolafe,had ruled that the Synagogue church and its contractors were essentially negligent in the collapse of a building that killed 116 people on September twelve twenty,fourteen.More photos below.
