The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.  It’s hard to stay sane, clean in industry, says Korede Bello Nigerian singer, Korede Bello, has revealed the difficulty in staying sane and clean in the entertainment industry. He made this known in a post via his X page on Thursday. According to him, being mentally sound and staying sober in the entertainment industry is very challenging. The singer, however, noted that to help an artiste stay alive, one needs to support them with whatever he or she can. Bello wrote," People don’t understand how hard it is to stay sane in a seemingly crazy industry. It’s even harder when you choose to stay clean. “ So if you want to help an artiste stay alive, contribute to their mental health, support them while they’re still here with whatever you have, even if all you have are your kind words. UniJos reduces undergraduate school charges Following a meeting with the expanded Students Union Government Executives of the University of Jos, the Management of the University has approved a further revision in the school charges structure payable by Undergraduate students of the institution from the 2022/2023 Academic Session. The main charges for Returning Students who are not offering GST courses have been reduced from N150,000.00 to N95,000.00 while N100,000.00 will be paid by Returning Students offering GST courses. The University Administration also approved payment by instalment based on the framework agreed upon by the stakeholders. NEMA Sensitize Stakeholders On Flood Management The North East zonal office of the National Emergency Management Agency NEMA has organised a one-day sensitisation programme on flood management.  Zonal Coordinator Sirajo Garba said the programme was organised to strengthen synergy between the Agency and other stakeholders towards mitigating the effect of flood in Borno state and the entire region.  He explained that the Zonal office had carried out vulnerability test of flood prone areas across the state and had been sensitising people living on water ways and river banks to relocate to safer locations.  Alhaji Sirajo however expressed concern that some communities in parts of the metropolis have converted drainage networks constructed by the state government into waste disposal point, noting that its one of the contributing factors of flooding.  He commended the state government for embarking on desilting of drainage networks across the state and called on the public to imbibe the cult
