 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. SENATE TO SUPPORT UPWARD REVIEW OF AMNESTY PROGRAM FUND-SARAKI.

                       Senate President,Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki today {saturday} said the Senate will support any proposal from the executive to increase the fund slated for the amnesty programme in the 2016 Appropriation Act,. Saraki who was speaking to journalists at the Presidential Villa after the Change of Guards ceremony to mark the nation's 56th Independence Anniversary said any plan by the executive to calm the frayed nerves in the Niger Delta and increase oil production so as to earn more money for the country to get out of the current economic recession will enjoy the support of the National Assembly.He reiterated the position of the Senate in its 20 point-solution to the economic recession billed to be presented to President Muhammadu Buhari that government should engage in constructive dialogue with the militants who are making oil production difficult.''Any positive move to restore peace in the restive Niger Delta region as well as increase the nation's
