 Svitolina beats Gauff in three sets to win third Italian Open title; Sinner reaches Rome final with win over Medvedev  Elina Svitolina captured her third Italian Open title on Saturday, outlasting Coco Gauff in a three-set battle to claim her first WTA 1000 crown in Rome since 2018. Svitolina prevailed 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-2 in a nearly three-hour final, adding to her previous victories at the event in 2017 and 2018. The Ukrainian held firm in key moments, including saving multiple break points in the opening set before pulling away in the decider with two breaks of serve. She sealed the win on her third match point with a volley at the net, securing the 20th title of her career. Gauff, who was attempting to become the first American woman to win in Rome since 2016, fought back after dropping the first set by taking the second in a tiebreak.     Men of the Federal Fire Service, FFS, Wuse Zonal office today, Monday, 19th November, 2018 successfully subdued inferno that almost razed down the Wuse 2 Zonal office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The fire fighters led by the Sector Commander, Melone Onyekachi, arrived the Wuse 2 office of the Commission when the Service was alerted of the Fire by the Incident Duty Officer of the Commission, Kayode Oyet unde at 1910 hours. The fire started at the former newsroom which now serves as storage for ICT equipments that were retrieved from the Commission former offices scattered across the Capital City. The former newsroom is domiciled in the two Storey Costa Hall which was commissioned by Dr. Antonio Maria Costa on 13th November 2007. The building currently houses the Data Centre and the Combined Inter Agency Task Force. EFCC ARRAIGNS KANO GOV. CANDIDATE,1 OTHER FOR ALLEGED $1.3M FRAUD.{PHOTOS}.

            The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on November 19, 2018 arraigned Abdulsalam Saleh Abdulkareem, a governorship candidate of the Green Party of Nigeria, GPN, and Ebere Nzekwe, before Justice Lewis Allagoa of the Federal High Court, Kano on a nine-count charge of criminal conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of $1,320,000 (One Million, Three Hundred and Twenty Thousand Do llars) only. The petitioner alleged that sometimes in 2014, the defendants connived to fraudulently obtained the said sum from him in the belief that it would be used for business investment which eventually turned out to be false. Abdulsalam also allegedly met with his Personal Assistant, one Muhannat in a hotel in Republic of Kuwait for a talk on the said dealings.
