FOUR MIGRANTS SURVIVE FIVE DAYS AT SEA AFTER BOAT CAPSIZES OFF LIBYA. (PHOTO)

 Four migrants survive five days at sea after boat capsizes off Libya Four migrants have been rescued from the Mediterranean more than five days after the boat supposed to carry them to Europe capsized off Libya, three Libyan sources and the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Monday. However, 10 migrants were confirmed to have died in the disaster off Tobruk in eastern Libya, and 31 were still missing. Six bodies were recovered on Saturday after washing ashore. The IOM said search efforts were continuing. The migrants are from Egypt and Sudan, the security sources said. One hundred Libyan municipalities now harbour over 900,000 migrants, according to UN data collected at the end of last year.

Abdurahman Dambazau,made the declaration un-behalf of the Federal Government today tuesday in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry,Mr Bassey Akpanyung.He said the declaration became necessary following the directive by the President General,Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs,Alhaji Sa'ad Abubarkar III to the effect that the Ramadan fast would continue on tuesday as a result of the non-sighting of the moon.The minister urged Nigerians to use the period for sober reflections  and ensure harmony,unity and peaceful co-existence.One more photo below.                                                                                       ...

                                                  The patrol team of 157 Task Force Battalion,7 Brigade,yesterday monday ambushed and killed a Boko Haram terrorists spy at Barwati village,Kukawa Local Government Area.The insurgent who was on reconnaissance mission to infiltrate the troops position,was killed while trying to gain entry into military location.The team recovered 1 AK-47 rifle,59 rounds of 7.62mm {Special} ammunition,one 40mm x 46mm BGL2 grenade,1 bandolier and 3 AK-47 rifle magazines from him.Troops have intensified vigilance and high level of alertness as they continued with efforts of clearing the remnants of Boko Haram terrorist in their Area of Responsibility.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relation.

THE NIGERIAN POLICE RESCUED A WOMAN,3 CHILDREN YESTERDAY,AS IGP PROMISES TOTAL CLAMPDOWN ON KIDNAPPERS IN THE COUNTRY.

                  The Nigeria Police Force yesterday monday,July 4,rescued a woman and her children kidnapped on July 3,2016 at her residence in Ayobo Area of Lagos State.When the information of the kidnap got to the Nigeria Police Force,the Inspector-General of Police, Ag.IGP Ibrahim Idris,NPM,mni,ordered the immediate deployment of a detachment of Counter Terrorism Unit to the area for the safe rescue of the victims.It could be recalled that when the news of the kidnap spread around Ayyobo area,some good spirited members of the community mobilized to apprehend the hoodlums,until the Police were contacted.This community collaboration with the Nigeria Police ensured that the hoodlums were traced to the Igando waterfront,Lagos,on July 4,2016 where the criminals abanddoned their victims and fled.The Inspector-General of Police ,IGP Idris warns those involved in acts of kidnapping and other heinous crimes to turn a new leaf as the Police in the ...

TANZANIAN GOVERNMENT,HAS BANNED SHISHA SMOKING IN THEIR COUNTRY.

                                       The Tanzanian government has banned shisha smoking in the country.The Prime Minister,Mr Kassim Majaliwa has asked clerics,parents and all leaders to fight against dealers and smokers.Mr Majaliwa said the consumption of shisha resulted into temptation to indulge in all sorts of vices and eroding morals among the youth.More photos below,
