      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has secured the conviction of Osahon Scott, who posed as one United States, US military officer to perpetrate online fraud. Scott was arraigned on March 12, 2019, before Justice Umar Bature of a Federal Capital High, FCT High Court sitting in Maitama, on an amended one-count charge bordering on cheating. The count reads: "That you, Osahon Scott (aka Gen. Sgt. Major John Rossi) sometime in 2018 in Abuja within the Abuja Judicial Division of the Federal Capital Territory High Court, did attempt to commit cheating by posing as United States Gen. Sgt. Major John Rossi an American soldier deployed to Afghanistan on peace keeping mission and fraudulently induced one Li Sufung to deliver the sum of 20, 000 Yuan (Twenty Thousand Yuan), that the money is payment for cost of non inspection of certificate, a claim which you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 320(a) of the Penal Code La...

       During the periods of the 2019 General elections, Nigerian Army (NA) supported the Civil Police to ensure a secure and peaceful conduct of the elections across the nation. Despite pockets of crisis witnessed in few states, the election was conducted in a secure and peaceful atmosphere. To achieve this, the NA in conjunction with other security agencies struggled to checkmate criminals, kidnappers, political thugs, ballot box snatchers from having a field day to perpetuate their selfish illegal activities, in some instances at the detriment of soldiers' lives as witnessed in Abonema and Andoni in Rivers State. Specific instances abound where kidnappers and other hooligans were intercepted by the personnel of the NA in many parts of Nigeria. The Force wishes to note however that it does not have facts to authenticate the veracity or otherwise the of the alleged claims on the Facebook handle. We are not sure if the story is a true account or  a mere fabrication by its maker.        Oyo State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, has congratulated the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Mr Seyi Makinde, who was declared winner of Saturday’s keenly contested election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.      What u are seeing covered with a pink-purple cloth  in the picture below is the remains of a little boy who went to school March 7th at Tessy road in Rumuagholu off Rumuokoro area in Port Harcourt and was bitten to death by a Rottweiler dog. The gate man of the house where the dog lived, opened the gate for the dog and Rottweiler ran straight to a school ( though not fenced) owned by Assemblies of God church, and ate up a pupil of the school then pounced on another child and ate up her buttocks before an angry Mopol man now shot the dog to death. The second victim is receiving treatment at Spring Rose Hospital along Rumuagholu road. The gate man of the house has been arrested by the police.More photos below.
