 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

NIGERIAN ARMY DENIES KILLING IPOB SUPPORTERS IN RIVERS STATE.{READ}.

                                       Today sunday,the Nigerian Army denied that its troops shot 11 members of the Indigenous People of Biafra {IPOB} to death during January 20 solidarity rally in Port Harcourt.Col. Aminu Illiyasu,the Army's spokesman,6 Division in Port Harcourt said that the army adhered strictly to rules of engagement in spite of provocation from some IPOB members.Thousands of youths believed to be IPOB supporters took to the street on January 20 to commemorate the election of Donald Trump as 45th President of the United States of America.Illiyasu said that troops from its 29 Battalion were only deployed to assist other security agencies to prevent possible breakdown of law and order during the rally.''The attention of 6 Division Nigeria Army has been drawn to a baseless and unsubstantiated allegation by one Emma Powerful,who claimed that soldiers killed 11 IPOB members during January 20 rally.The allegation is false malicious and existed in the figment

FIRE RAZED DOWN A PLASTIC COMPANY TODAY IN OSHODI LAGOS.

              According to Vanguard,The management of Rida National Plastic Company Ltd,Oshodi Lagos is counting its loses after an early morning fire destroyed its property worth millions of Naira today Sunday.A reporter who visited the scene of the fire reports that officials of the Lagos State Fire Service Department battled the fire which started at about 7:00a.m for many hours,before finally bringing it under control.Also,officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency {LASEMA],the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority {LASTMA} and the Police battled to manage traffic,security and safety on the Apapa/Oworonshoki expressway,as sympathisers thronged the scene.Ab official of the Lagos State Rapid Response Unit who simply identified himself as ''Mr Nature'' told journalists that the fire started at about 7:00a,m.''Due to the kind of products being produced at the company,the fire was difficult to handle because of inflammable nature of their plastic

                   The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a campaign of calumny on social media platforms by some individuals or group of persons.The faceless persons have been making spurious and unfounded allegations bordering on payment of troops operations allowances,rotation in the North East and comparing troops pay to what obtains in neighbouring countries.The fabricators are most probably being sponsored by the categories of people that frustrated themselves out of the Army and political self-defeatists.They are clearly sentimental and lack knowledge of the Nigerian Army of today. However,investigation is ongoing to determine the full identity and source of this mischief and all those found connected with it will be dealt with in accordance with the extant provisions of the military justice system.We wish to reiterate that the Nigerian Army is a voluntary Service.We are not running a conscript Army,all those not satisfied are at liberty to apply for voluntary ret
