  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. Responding to reporters’ question in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, on Saturday, on the suspension of the PDP's campaign, the Minister said: ''Which Campaign? NIGERIAN GIRL RESCUED AFTER BEING LURED INTO PROSTITUTION IN DUBAI.{PHOTOS}.18+.

       A gang of three was recently arrested for prostitution and human trafficking in Dubai, they were arrested for falsely manipulating unsuspecting Nigerians with the promise of providing them with decent jobs in the United Arab Emirates and upon arrival of their victims, they are dispossessed of their passports and other personal belongings before forcing them into prostitution. The gang members namely Chinonso Emmanuel Onuabuchi, Ifeanyi Clement Nnamoko and Nneamaka Blessing Okafor were arrested after the Association of Enugu Indigenes (UAE) led by its chairman Mr. Kingsley C Eze was informed that an indigene of its state (Enugu) was deceived from Nigeria to Dubai by the culprits, forced and molested into prostitution.        A heavy rainfall which occurred on Thursday in Onitsha area of Anambra State has led to the untimely death of a young lady. Report has it that the deceased was swept away by the heavy rain and her corpse was later found by a rescue team . The residents are blaming the government for the bad road at Ochanja area where the incident occurred as they say it has done more harm than good to the people of Onitsha since the last 10 years. The residents are calling on the Anambra state government to come and save them from dilapidated roads.One more photo below.
