                      Rapper Jay Z has been a fan of the luxury brand ''Armand de Brignac'' champagne,which retails from $300 a glass and $200,000 for the whole 30 Litre bottle.Jay Z purchased the alcohol label from Sovereigh Brands for an undisclosed amount,making the company an offer the company simply couldn't refuse.Yvonne Lardner,the Global  Director of Brand Communication for Sovereign said ''We are proud to announce that Sovereign Brands,a New York based wine and spirits company,has sold it's interest in the Armand de Brignac Champagne brand to a new company led by the globally renowed Shawn Jay Z Carter.We had a wonderful relationship with Jay Z throughout the years since he first discovered Armand de Brignac.He became interested in owning the brand and made us an offer we simply couldn't refuse''.More photos below.                                                                                                                        

                                                                               Today friday,a Tribunal heard the case of a Vice Principal of a muslim girls college,37 year old Ghazala Khan,was sacked and told to ''go to hell'' after she opposed rules which tell all pupils to wear veils during lessons.Ghazala Khan also claims she was called a ''Stupid outsider'',by her boss and barred from certain assemblies at Mohiuddin International Girls college in Burnley,Lancashire.She told the tribunal in Manchester today that she was ostracized because she didn't belong to the same sect with Islam as most of the staff.The mother of one from London was sacked less than a year into the post after she questioned why some teachers would refuse to teach girls unless they wore veils across their face.She claimed the wearing of a veil was not instructed anywhere in the Quran,but says she was told she knew nothing about her own religion.Her employment ended in May 2012

                             According to the Independent National Electoral Commissioner {INEC}in Lagos state which is headed by Dr Adekunle L.Ogunmola as the Resident Electoral Commissioner said that the distribution of voters card have already commenced in the state,noting that there will be an extension each day.''We will now extend the exercise to 5:pm each day so that we can make up for the lost time.The exercise which was scheduled to hold between 7-9 November will be extended by an extra day due to logistic issue''.

           Libya is in chaos a two rival governments and parliaments are struggling for control of the country's vast energy reserves three years after the overthrow of veteran ruler Muammar Gaddafi.Libya is plit into a western part controlled by fighters calling themselves Operation Dawn,who seized the capital in August,and a rump state in the east where the internationally recognized parliament and government are now based.In a televised rulling,the Supreme court invalidated the election of the House of Representatives.The court said a committee that prepared the election had violated Libya's provisional constitution.The decision which was rejected by the assembly came a day after gunmen stormed Libya's biggest oilfield and shut down production at the facility in the country's remote south.More photos below.                                                                        

                      According to officials in Ivory Coast,eight people were killed and at least two more are believed to be trapped under rubble after a building in Ivory Coast commercial capital of Abidjan collapsed on workers who were demolishing it.The accident occurred on wednesday in Abidjan's Attecoube district as workers were knocking down a condemned building built in an area at risk of flooding and landslides.The District Mayor,Paulin Claude Danho said ''The ministry of construction hired a company for the building's demolition,but they didn't have any expertise.It went and hired around 20 young men to destroy the building by hand.Rescue efforts continued throughout the night,and nine injured workers were rescued from the wreckage''.More photos below.
