GERMANY AND AUSTRIA TO TAP OIL RESERVES AFTER 400 MILLION BARRELS REQUESTED. (PHOTO).

 Germany and Austria to tap oil reserves after 400 million barrels requested  Germany and Austria announced they are releasing portions of their oil reserves in response to an International Energy Agency request for member nations to collectively release 400 million barrels to help ease rising energy prices linked to the Iran conflict. Japan also said it will begin releasing part of its reserves starting Monday. The move marks one of the largest coordinated releases of emergency oil stocks in history. The previous record came in 2022, when IEA members released 182.7 million barrels following the energy disruptions caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Member countries currently hold over 1.2 billion barrels of public emergency oil stocks, along with an additional 600 million barrels of industry stocks maintained under government requirements. CLASH BY RIVAL GROUPS DISRUPTED BAYELSA POLLS,BUT NORMALCY WAS RESTORED BY THE POLICE

                        According to the Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer Mr Asinim Butswat an ASP,who spoke with NAN today in Yenagoa said the Command had received report of clash by rival groups which disrupted the electoral process in the area.He said one person was injured during the clash,while the police arrested some suspects in the process.''We have made some arrests and normalcy has been restored in the area.Security reinforcement was sent to Oporoma and we can say that the electoral process had commenced there''.He further state that the information available to the police showed that no life was lost during the clash.He said that accreditation had commenced in some parts of the area,and the governorship election in these areas had been peaceful while security agents were on high alert to check any breach of the law.One more photo below.                     ...

8 CIVILIANS KILLED BY MUSLIMS IN CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC,ON THURSDAY.

                      According to a U.N humanitarian coordinator in Central African Republic Aurelien Agbenonci said yesterday friday that armed men killed eight civilians at a camp for displaced people and wounded one U.N peacekeeper.The attacks took place at Ngakobo,about 40 miles south of the central town of Bambari on thursday.Five of the rebels from the mainly Muslim coalition called the Seleka that attacked the camp were killed and two were wounded.All this attack happened just days after Pope Francis visited the capital.More photos below.                                                                               

A EX-COMMISSIONER IN ADAMAWA STATE,SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS FOR FRAUD YESTERDAY.

                  Yesterday friday December 4,2015,a former Commissioner of Local Government Affairs in Adamawa state,John Ellias Babani,was sentenced to to 10 years by Justice Bilikisu Bello Aliyu of the Federal High Court,Yoa,Adamawa state for defrauding Adamawa state government of the Sum of N51.5 miion while in office.He was arraigned by the EFCC {Economic and Financial Crimes Commission} on March 5,2013 alongside two others who were discharged as well as a company owned by Elias on four count charges of fraud.Justice Aliyu sentenced the first convict,John Babani Elias to 10 years imprisonment on count 3 and 4 but the two sentences will run concurrently,and he must refund the sum of N51.5 million to Adamawa state Local Government joint account fund from where it was stolen.The judge also ordered the Corporate Affairs Commission {CAC} to wind up Al-Akim Investment Limited and have its assets forfeited to the Federal Government of Nigeria.J...

THE U.S EMBASSY IN NIGERIA,WARNED ITS CITIZENS ABOUT TERRORISTS ATTACKING MAJOR HOTELS.

                    According to the U.S Embassy in Nigeria who said yesterday friday that they had received information that groups associated with terrorism in Nigeria may be panning attacks against hotels in the country that are frequented by westerners.In a brief message for U.S citizens,the embassy said it had no further information regarding the timing or method of any planned attacks.''The U.S mission all its citizens to be vigilant when at hotels and around areas frequented by expartriates and foreign travellers.....Locating  where large crowds may gather,government facilities''..One more photo below.
