 Noise pollution: Lagos seals five churches, 19 hotels The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has temporarily shut down no fewer than five churches and 19 hotels over noise pollution between March 23 and April 26  Calculations by our correspondent also showed that no fewer than four markets and shopping complexes were also shut down over noise pollution and other environmental infractions. The churches that have been temporarily sealed include St Monica’s Hall of Our Lady of Lord’s Catholic Church, Christ Rock of Fire Ministry, Wonderful Bible Prayer Ministries, God’s Porch Ministries, and an unnamed Catholic Church Some of the hotels affected are School2bar, Blue Seasons Hotel and Suites, Sulerious Lakeside Hotel, Monero Hotel and Suites, and Lekki Hotel and Suites.                According to sources,Policemen of the Area M Command,Idimu have arrested a woman who  allegedly sold her four children in Lagos state.The woman sold four out of her five children to different buyers without the knowledge of her husband.A petition by her husband to the Area Command,Assistant Commissioner of Police,ACP Austines Akika,led to the arrest of the woman simply identified as Vicky.Police revealed that the suspect was selling the children one after the other and successfully sold four,leaving out only one.The police said Vicky had lied to her husband that she took the kids to their relation until the husband later discovered she had sold them.According to PM express,her strange commercial activity was exposed after she sold the last child for N400,000 and her husband was tipped by a neighbour.The husband reported to the police and she was arrested and detained at the Command cell.She was said to have already confessed to the police while efforts were already being

GOVERNOR AKEREDOLU SETS UP A FIVE MAN COMMITTEE TO RECOVER STATE GOVERNMENT VEHICLES.

                It was reported today that Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has set up a five man committee on recovery of state government vehicles from unauthorised persons and locations.The committee has the state's former Commissioner for Natural Resources,Solagbade Amodeni,as Chairman and Mr Lawrence Akintunde as Secretary.Other members are the Senior Special Assistants {SSA} to the governor on security matters; Mr Jimoh Dojumo,Mr Yusuf S. and Mr Odunayo Kolawole.The committee which has six weeks to submit its report,has been directed to recover all government vehicles within and outside the state.In a statement signed by the Chief of Staff to Governor Akeredolu,Mr Olugbenga Ale,the state government expressed worry over the number of vehicles in the possession of unauthorised persons.''A number of government vehicles are in possession of unauthorised persons and locations,contrary to the rules and regulations guiding the use of government vehicles.To this end,the Governo

                 Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board {JAMB} has refuted reports that it arrested 10,000 candidates during the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination {UTME} test in Anambra State.Then the Ministry of Education on friday released the results of the 2017 National Common Entrance Examination {NCEE} into 104 Federal unity schools and disclosed that two candidates from Anambra State scored the highest marks.Acting Permanent Secretary of the ministry,Hussaini Adamu said the Minister of Education,Adamu Adamu lauded the National Examination Council {NECO} for the prompt release of the results to the state's ministries of education and NECO zonal offices across the country.Of the 80,421 candidates that registered for the examination,only 77,512 of them actually took the examination,held on April 8,2017.Details of the results showed that two candidates from Anambra State,Emeka-Egbunss Chinecherem V. and Onubogu Chinazom Joyce scored 189 marks out of 200 being th
