 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country.      A Nigerian woman has taken to social media to call out a man who allegedly did the unexpected after calling her via Facebook video call. Maureen Azuka, a married woman who is based in Lagos state, revealed that one Francis Okeke called her on Facebook and flashed his private part in a bid to woo her. Angered by the man’s alleged action, Maureen took to Facebook to rain curses on him.       The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to a publication on Sahara Reporters and other social media platforms, to a false claim credited to one Doctor Sidi Ali Mohammed, a member of the Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative. In it, he alleged that the criminal terrorist group members earn as much as $3,000 daily, as against the Nigerian soldier who is paid N1,000 only. This is not true,   pure lie and highly irresponsible comment coming from a supposedly knowledgeable person of his calibre.       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC Kaduna Zonal Office has arraigned one Joseph Adigizi Anthony before Justice Mallong Peter of the Federal High Court sitting in Kaduna, Kaduna State for a N50 million fraud. His journey to the dock began when the Kaduna office of the EFCC received a petition alleging that he defrauded members of the public using a business proposal, in which he lured them to invest in Bitcoin t hrough a platform called Bitworld Centre. He promised them good returns on their investment. A petitioner had alleged that she sold her properties and collected loan from a Microfinance Bank to raise the sum of N1,739,000 (One Million Seven Hundred and Thirty Nine Thousand Naira), which the defendant directed her to pay into his personal bank accounts.       The International Criminal Police Organisation, (Interpol), on Monday, April 29, 2019, provided the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), with an application that will enhance intelligence sharing in the tracking of organized crime, such as money laundering and terrorism-financing. The application comprises a database to be supervised by the National Central Bureau (NCB), which is an interface between Interpol and national law enforcement agencies of countries through a i24/7 Gemini Project global communications system. Within the Commission, the application will be managed by its Information and Communications Technology Department. An elated Acting Chairman of the Commission, Ibrahim Magu witnessed the demonstration of the new application at the Commission's Abuja headquarters.         Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State would be at the University of Nigeria Nsukka to deliver the maiden memorial lecture of Professor Miriam Ikejiani Clark on the theme, “The State and Management of Farmers/ Headsmen Conflict in Nigeria: Lessons from the Benue Valley.” Dr Ifeanyichukwu Abada, the head of Department, Political Science, disclosed this at a press conference in Nsukka on Monday.
