      The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) charges the All Progressives Congress (APC) to desist from its attempts to sway the Supreme Court to jettison the consensus demand by Nigerians for a judicial review and reversal of the defective judgment on the Imo state governorship election. The party also cautioned the APC to end its blackmail and lobbying on the corridors of the judiciary with the view to influence the Supreme Court to snub Nigerians and disregard calls to correct its manifest mistakes on the Imo judgment.       By Jamilah Nasir The family of Philip Ataga, a Kaduna-based medical doctor, fell into the hands of the exact calamity he was trying to avert in his community, fresh details have revealed. Bola Ataga, his wife, was killed by kidnappers a week after she and two of their children were abducted from their residence at Juji, near Sabon Tasha, Chikun local government area of Kaduna. The kidnappers had reportedly demanded N150 million ransom but when the family could not meet the request, they killed Bola and subsequently demanded N20 million for the release of her children.        The attention of the Lagos State Government has been drawn to the outcry that trailed the eviction of residents of a beachside community at Tarkwa Bay by the Nigerian Navy. The Nigerian Navy says the dislodgement followed the discovery by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) that pipeline vandals had taken over Tarkwa Bay to sabotage the Nation’s economy by stealing petroleum products for selfish and personal gains. According to Navy Commander Thomas Otuji, the Navy found in Tarkwa Bay about 300 spots and pits where petroleum products were being tapped and sold to unlicensed individuals as well as neighboring countries.
