 NIGERIAN ARMY TROOPS APPREHEND HUMAN TRAFFICKER IN LAGOS, RESCUE VICTIM Troops of 65 Bn Nigerian Army (NA) operating under the 81 Division NA, have successfully apprehended a human trafficker in Lagos. Following actionable intelligence, Mrs Olushola Areke was arrested in connection with human trafficking. The suspect was accused of kidnapping Miss Fayoke Kunle, a 22-year-old daughter of Mrs Ainor Kunle. Mrs. Kunle claimed she had voluntarily entrusted her daughter to the suspect, who had promised to secure employment for the young girl in Oshodi, Lagos. However, instead of heading to Oshodi as promised, the suspect moved Miss Kunle to Kano, where the victim later discovered herself and overheard discussions about being transported to Libya. Miss Kunle courageously escaped from her captor and returned home on 23 April 2024.  Suspected herdsmen have reportedly killed a civil servant identified as Inofomoh Gabriel at his farm in Jattu community, the headquarters of Uzairue clan in Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State. Lens AfricaTV gathered that the incident happened last Wednesday. A source who disclosed this to newsmen said the deceased also worked at Auchi Polytechnic before his untimely death. He said his corpse was discovered on Saturday in the bush with several machete cuts all over his body. The source who spoke on condition of anonymity said they suspected that the farmer might have been killed by herders who have been kidnapping farmers in their farms in the area and in some cases killed some of their victims. According to him, the farmer who is also a staff of Auchi Polytechnic, went to the farm last Wednesday. Police arrest ‘cleric’ with human hands, kidneys, hearts The Ondo State Police Command have arrested one Oluwafemi Idris for unlawful possession of human parts. The police got an intel from a reliable source in January 2024, that one Idris popularly known as Alfa in his area kept human parts in his house and intends to use it for ritual purposes.. A statement e-signed by Funmilayo Odunlami- Omisanya, the state Police Public Relations Officer, for the Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command, said police swung into action and apprehended the suspect. A search was conducted in his house at Akoko and human hands, three kidneys, three hearts, spine and tongue were found in his possession.  TROOPS OF JOINT TASK FORCE OPERATION UDO KA RAIDS IPOB/ESN B44 CAMP IN IMO STATE The Joint Task Force Operation UDO KA in continuation of its operations to stamp out the criminalities of IPOB/ESN from the South East Nigeria has raided and cleared the notorious Monday Oluchi Ogu Camp also known as B44 Camp in Imo State.  The raid operations which commenced on Thursday 28 March 2024 was aimed at clearing known Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its  armed affiliate  the Eastern Security Network (ESN) Camp located at the border of Njaba River bothering Awo-Omama Community in Oru East Local Government Area and Ezoiha community in Mbaitoli LGA of Imo  State. During the clearance operations that continued on Friday troops came in contact with the criminals.  Wanted fake soldier arrested in Lagos The Police Command in Lagos State says it has arrested a suspected fake soldier, who had been declared wanted by the military. The command’s spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the arrest to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Sunday, said the suspect was arrested on Saturday at about 3.00 p.m. in Ijegun area of Lagos. Hundeyin said the suspect was arrested during a routine visibility patrol by the Ijegun Police Division along Fagbile Estate, Ijegun, in Sherin Oshun.  How 16-year-old girl was gang raped by teenagers in Lagos hotel - Police Police at the Adeniji Adele Division, Lagos of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested three Lagos Island-based teenagers and charged them before a Lagos Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl. The incident allegedly took place at Thrive Max Hotel located at Olushi Street, Lagos Island. The culprits were also said to have posted the sexual attack on the internet. Police identified the perpetrators as Owokoniran Abdulahi, 16, a resident of Obadina Street, Lagos Island; Ololade James, 18, who lives at Tapa Street, Lagos Island and Obafaye Seyi, 16, resides at Ricca Street, Lagos Island, Lagos.  Man kills childhood friend over motorcycle, sells it for N130,000 The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a 39-year-old fruit seller, Dolapo Babalola, for allegedly killing his childhood friend, Evangelist Opeyemi Oyelakin, 34. Following the killing, Babalola and another suspect, Sikiru Mutiu, who has been declared wanted, stole the motorcycle of the deceased, which he was using for commercial purposes, and sold it in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, for N130,000. The suspect, who confessed to the crime, stated that on March 15, he deceived the deceased to take him to Oke-Igbo, a few kilometres from Ondo town, to check a piece of land. According to Babalola, on getting to the land, which was situated inside a bush, Sikiru grabbed the deceased from behind while he struck him to death with a stick and stone. With the family of the deceased disturbed by the whereabouts of the father of one, a complaint was lodged, after which detectives swung into action and arrested Babalola at his residen
