EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

THE NIGERIAN ARMY RESCUED 1890 PERSONS HELD CAPTIVES BY BOKO HARAM,AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS.

                            In continuation of the clearance operations by troops to mop up the remnants of Boko Haram terrorists,troops have rescued  1 890 persons held captives by Boko Haram terrorists at various locations within the last two weeks.Those rescued include 800 Nigerians refugees that crossed to Cameroon  that were brought back to Banki town in Nigeria by troops of 2 1  Brigades 24 February.Troops of  1 2 1  Task Force conducted joint patrols with Cameroonian forces at Mararraba.Angwan Fada,Dale and Wizha Bokko Timit,Bokko Nasanu and Bokko Hidde up to Ngoshe in which they rescued  1 7 women and 28 children.Similarly,troops of 7 Division Garrison,in a joint operations with  1 1 2 Battalion,Army Headquarters Support Group and Armed Forces Special Forces at Gajibo,Maula,Gamai,Gamare,Maiwa,Warsale,Tangli,Tushi,Sowa,Hasanari,Changuwa,Malamaja,and Marya in Dikwa and Mafa Local Government Areas rescued 350 people including 5 Cameroonian girls that were held hostages by the Boko

4 PEOPLE DIED,AFTER AN EXPLOSIVE SEIZED FROM BOKO HARAM,EXPLODED IN A POLICE STATION YESTERDAY IN THE NORTH.

                    Several explosives seized from Boko Haram militsnts blew up at a police station yesterday thursday,killing at least four people and wounding several others.Ahmed Sajo,Adamawa state information commissioner in Yola said,''The device stored in a police station went off when an officer tried moving them,where the explosion happened.Many police officers are feared dead''The national emergency agency NEMA put the death toll at four.One more photo below.

REV. KING,SENTENCED TO DEATH BY HANGING TODAY BY THE SUPREME COURT.

                        According to sources,the Suprem Court has ruled that the convicted General-Overseer of the Christian Praying Assembly,Chukwuemeka Ezeugo,a.k.a Rev King is to die by hanging.In a unanimous judgement to day friday afternoon,a seven man panel of Justice Walter Onnoghen,upheld the death sentence that was earlier handed to Ezeugo by the Lagos State High Court.Consequently,the court in its lead verdict that was delivered by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta,dismissed the appeal the convicted clergy lodged before it.Justice Ngwuta who noted that the facts of the case could have been lifted from horror film,resolved all the twelve issues Ezeugo raised in his appeal against him.''This appeal has no merit.The judgement of the court of appeal is hereby affirmed.The prison sentence that was earlier handed to the appellant is no longer relevant in view of the death sentence passed on him'',Justice Ngwuta held.It will be recalled that Ezeugo was convicted and sentenced
