GERMANY AND AUSTRIA TO TAP OIL RESERVES AFTER 400 MILLION BARRELS REQUESTED. (PHOTO).

 Germany and Austria to tap oil reserves after 400 million barrels requested  Germany and Austria announced they are releasing portions of their oil reserves in response to an International Energy Agency request for member nations to collectively release 400 million barrels to help ease rising energy prices linked to the Iran conflict. Japan also said it will begin releasing part of its reserves starting Monday. The move marks one of the largest coordinated releases of emergency oil stocks in history. The previous record came in 2022, when IEA members released 182.7 million barrels following the energy disruptions caused by Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Member countries currently hold over 1.2 billion barrels of public emergency oil stocks, along with an additional 600 million barrels of industry stocks maintained under government requirements. FIRSTNATION AIRLINE RESUMES OPERATIONS TODAY EVENING.

                              The airline made the announcement through its twitter account which stated that it would resume flights by 4pm today sunday.According to PmNews,the airline announced the suspension of its flights on August 17,a development some people said created panic in the aviation sector.Hoowever,Captain Chimara Imediegwu,the airline's Director of Flight Operations,on September 6,told newsmen that a team of engineers were coming to Nigeria to service the planes.Imediegwu had debunked the claim that the airline was on the verge of folding up,stressing that it voluntarily grounded the aircraft to await the arrival of the manufacturer's team.

UNKNOWN GUNMEN ATTACKED & KIDNAPPED SOME RESIDENTS OF LEKKI GARDENS ESTATE YESTERDAY.{PHOTOS}.

                               According to sources,Some gunmen yesterday saturday attacked Lekki Gardens Estate,in the Isheri area of Lagos State and kidnapped four residents.The assailants entered into the community through the waterways around 8am and first shot sporadically into the air and the gang whisked away their victims in a speedboat.It was gathered that the residents were on an early morning jogging exercise when they were taken away.A community leader,who spoke on condition of anonymity,said the suspected militants had actually taken nine hostages,adding that only four were taken away because the boat could not take all the victims.He said ''The incident happened around 8am.The gunmen were between eight and 10 in number.They came in a speedboat and shot into the air for about five minutes.They kidnapped nine people and put them in their operational boat.But when they saw that the boat could not ...

AMBODE FLAGS OFF COMMISSIONING OF 114 LG ROADS+COMMISSIONS LAY-BY,SLIP ROAD IN ALAPERE.
