  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. CELINE DION'S BROTHER DANIEL,JUST PASSED AWAY TODAY.

                  According to AP,Celine Dion has just lost her brother Daniel Dion today saturday at the age of 59 years old.Daniel had brain,throat and tongue cancer.His death comes two days after his brother in-law Rene Angeli also died of cancer.At the time of her husband's passing,Celine Dib had tentatively scheduled her return in Las Vegas for February 23.Daniel Dion's tribute will take place on saturday,January 23rd at Salon Charles Rajotte in Repentigny.A religious funeral will also take place at St Simon et-Jude,in Charlemagne Quebec,where the family was raised.Sources said ''His last days were in the wonderful care of the doctors and personnel at Maison Adhemar-Dion,a palliative care center in Terrebonne Quebec''.Daniel's obituary read ''For those wishing to send flowers,a donation to that organization would be very much appreciated''.One photo below.                                                     

4 UNITED STATES PRISONERS HELD IN IRAN,WERE RELEASED TODAY.

             According to CNN,Iran has freed four prisoners from the United States,including Washington Post journalist Jason Rezaian,Iran's semi-official FARS news agency reported today saturday.According to FARS,Iran freed Rezaian,Marine veteran Amir Hekmati and Christian pastor Saeed Abedini,who had been held on various charges.FARS identified the fourth prisoner freed as Nosratollah Khosrawi.Details of Khosrawi's case were not immediately known.The release is part of a prisoner swap deal in which the United States reportedly freed seven Iranian-Americans held on charges related to sanctions against Iran,FARS said.The news agency had previously said the U.S was to release six prisoners.One more photo below.

               According to some pressmenone person was diagnosed at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital {LUTH},Idi Araba,involves a 25 year old student from Ahmadu Bello University.The patient is said to have been admitted first at a private hospital in Ojokoro are of Lagos state.According to the Minister of Health,Professor Isaaac Adewole,the patient is reponding to treatment.The Minister advised residents of affected states not to panic but to maintain high level vigilance and present themselves for test if they feel unhealthy or they feel symptoms of Lassaa Fever which include high fever,stooling,tiredness and vomiting among others.He cautioned that self medication should be avioded at this period.From my research,Lassa fever was first discovered in a town called ''Lassa'' in Born state in 1969,from the name of the town,the disease got its name.So far 13 states in Nigeria have so far been affected.The states affected include Bauchi,Nasarawa,Niger,Taraba,Kano,Rive

                      According sources,just one day after her husband Rene Angelil's death,Celine Dion's brother has just few days to live.The source said ''It could be any day now,no one knows how long he has.She had heard that he might pass on tuesday but he seems to be holding on.They're close,she's close with all of her siblings,it's hard.Celine is still in Vegas with her kids making plans for her husband's funeral......It's a typical grieving process.There's moments of shed tears,moments of memories and laugher.She's grieving the loss of her husband''.Her husband had been struggling with cancer before his death now her elder brother 59 year old Daniel is struggling to live.Dion has 13 brother and sisters whom she is very close to.One more photo below.                                                                                      

NO LIVE WAS LOST IN A MULTIPLE ACCIDENT YESTERDAY,IN ENUGU STATE.

               Seven people susstained injuries in a multiple auto crash at Ama Brewery Junction on the 9th Mile Nsukka highway in Enugu state.The Police Public Relations Officer {PPRO} of the command,Mr Ebere Amaraizu said that the incident,which happened at about 7.pm on friday involved a trailer,Highlander jeep an two other cars.Amaraizu said,however no live was lost at the scene of the incident.''At seven persons sustained various degrees of injuries and were rushed to different hospitals after the crash.The team of rescuers included the police,Federal Road Safety Commission and some members of the public.The cause of the accident was yet to be determined,nothing however but the police had commenced investigation''.One more photo below.              

AL-QAEDA RAID IN AN HOTEL YESTERDAY NIGHT,LEFT 20 PEOPLE DEAD IN BURKINA FASO.

                 Security forces ended a siege by al-Qaeda fighters at Splendid Hotel in Burkina Faso's capital today saturday,killing three islamist gunmen and freeing 126 hostages.At least 20 people are believed to have been killed in the attack on the hotel which began late yesterday friday.Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb {AQIM} claimed responsibility for the raid.Simone Compaore said operations were still under way at a second hotel nearby,the Hotel Yibi and security forces were trying to determine if some of the fighters were hiding there.According to the Minister,''The operations at the Splendid Hotel and the nearby Restaurant Cappuccino have ended.126 hostages were freed,among them 33 were wounded.Three jihadists were killed.They are an Arab and two black Africans'.More photos below.
