 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

2 WEEKS AFTER ARISEKOLA'S DEATH,HIS WIFE JELILAT DIE'S IN AUTO-CRASH.

                           It is indeed a sad period for the family of the late Musulum of Yoruba land,Arisekola Alao,when one of his wife {widow},Jelilat Arisekola Alao,died in an autocrash yesterday tueday at Eyenkorin near Kwara state on tueday,she was 62 years old.She was buried in her residence in Apata area of Ibadan.She was the eldest wife and she is survived by two children.May her soul rest in peace.

                     28 year old Lady Gaga turned heads in her white wedding inspired gown on tuesday as she left her Montreal hotel ahead of her performance at the city's Jazz festival.She wowed the crowd with a surprise duet with Tony Bennett and she even wore a veil to make her way to the event.She spent most of her time signing autographs for fans who had gathered outside and who must have been surprise with her attire.LOL,you like,more photos below.

FOUR DIES IN PLANE CRASH TODAY IN KENYA.

            According to the Kenya police,four crewmen were killed today wednesday when a Somalia bound cargo plane carrying the stimulat Khat crashed into a commercial building in Nairobi Kenya shortly after taking off.In the picture above the tail and wings of the white 50 propeller plane ripped in half outside the two storey building housing several shops.The crash happened around 4.am,but two guards at shopping complex were injured.Khat is legally grown and sold in eastern Africa where chewing of the plant is an ancient social custom.More photos below.

             An international source,visited Wole Soyinka at his home in Abeokuta on tueday and he was interviewed and durig the interview,Wole Soyinka said ''The blod shed was now worse than during the 1967-70 Biafra war when a secessionist attempt by the eastern Igbo people nearly tore Nigeria up into ethnic regions.We have never been confronted with butchery on this scale,even during the civil war.There were atrocities during Biafra but we never had such a near predictable level of carnage and this is what is horrifying''.

           Ayo Oritsejafor,the President of Christian Association of Nigeria {CAN}, spoke at the 2014 National conference on Voices Against Violence organised by christia elders forum of northern states {NOSCEF} in Abuja said ''If we want to end Boko Haram insurgence we as Nigerians must speak the truth.That is the major factor.Boko Haram has an ideology muslim leaders,should engage them and tell them,the truth.I am not against dialogue,but the people that must dialogue are the muslims religions leaders,traditional leaders,muslim political leaders.They must come together and speak the truth.

WAS IT WISE FOR SANUSI TO DROP THE CASE AGAINST GOODLUCK,A.G AND I.S.P?.

           According to The Tribune,a national news paper in Nigeria,they said the Emir of  Kano and former Central Bank Governor,Lamido Sanusi has withdrawn the court case he instituted against President Goodluck Jonathan,the Attorney General and inspector General of police over his suspension as Central Bank Governor on February 20th 2014.According to the news paper,in a preliminary objectio filled by counsel for the president and counsel for the Attorney General of the Federation,they pray the court to decline jurisdiction on the suit,since it was labour related and as such,the National Industrial court is the appropriate court to hear it.The Federal High court rejected Sanusi counsel's argument that the Federal High court had jurisdiction to hear the suit.The court transferred the suit to the National Industrial court.After the  transfer of the suit,instead of striking it out,the President as well as the Attorney General of the federation,filed separate notices of appeal,challe
