 ANAMBRA STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL INSPECTS NEW HIGH COURT COMPLEX: EXPRESSES SATISFACTION  By Chinelo Okeke  The Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Anambra State, Tobechukwu Nweke, SAN, on  Monday, June 1st, 2026, conducted an inspection visit to the state's new High Court building,Complex currently under construction behind the Judiciary Headquarters off Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka. Nweke led the team of Commissioners that accompanied him to the inspection which are Arch. Henry Arinze, Commissioner for Housing, with Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, Commissioner for Physical and Urban Development. Attorney General toured the facility and expressed strong satisfaction with the progress and quality of work on the project. Speaking during the inspection, Nweke described the structure as solid and befitting of a modern judicial institution. "This building portrays a true high court of the 21st century," he said, noting that the complex features ultra-modern courtroom...

2 WEEKS AFTER ARISEKOLA'S DEATH,HIS WIFE JELILAT DIE'S IN AUTO-CRASH.

                           It is indeed a sad period for the family of the late Musulum of Yoruba land,Arisekola Alao,when one of his wife {widow},Jelilat Arisekola Alao,died in an autocrash yesterday tueday at Eyenkorin near Kwara state on tueday,she was 62 years old.She was buried in her residence in Apata area of Ibadan.She was the eldest wife and she is survived by two children.May her soul rest in peace.

FOUR DIES IN PLANE CRASH TODAY IN KENYA.

            According to the Kenya police,four crewmen were killed today wednesday when a Somalia bound cargo plane carrying the stimulat Khat crashed into a commercial building in Nairobi Kenya shortly after taking off.In the picture above the tail and wings of the white 50 propeller plane ripped in half outside the two storey building housing several shops.The crash happened around 4.am,but two guards at shopping complex were injured.Khat is legally grown and sold in eastern Africa where chewing of the plant is an ancient social custom.More photos below.                                                                                                                     ...

             An international source,visited Wole Soyinka at his home in Abeokuta on tueday and he was interviewed and durig the interview,Wole Soyinka said ''The blod shed was now worse than during the 1967-70 Biafra war when a secessionist attempt by the eastern Igbo people nearly tore Nigeria up into ethnic regions.We have never been confronted with butchery on this scale,even during the civil war.There were atrocities during Biafra but we never had such a near predictable level of carnage and this is what is horrifying''.

           Ayo Oritsejafor,the President of Christian Association of Nigeria {CAN}, spoke at the 2014 National conference on Voices Against Violence organised by christia elders forum of northern states {NOSCEF} in Abuja said ''If we want to end Boko Haram insurgence we as Nigerians must speak the truth.That is the major factor.Boko Haram has an ideology muslim leaders,should engage them and tell them,the truth.I am not against dialogue,but the people that must dialogue are the muslims religions leaders,traditional leaders,muslim political leaders.They must come together and speak the truth.

WAS IT WISE FOR SANUSI TO DROP THE CASE AGAINST GOODLUCK,A.G AND I.S.P?.

           According to The Tribune,a national news paper in Nigeria,they said the Emir of  Kano and former Central Bank Governor,Lamido Sanusi has withdrawn the court case he instituted against President Goodluck Jonathan,the Attorney General and inspector General of police over his suspension as Central Bank Governor on February 20th 2014.According to the news paper,in a preliminary objectio filled by counsel for the president and counsel for the Attorney General of the Federation,they pray the court to decline jurisdiction on the suit,since it was labour related and as such,the National Industrial court is the appropriate court to hear it.The Federal High court rejected Sanusi counsel's argument that the Federal High court had jurisdiction to hear the suit.The court transferred the suit to the National Industrial court.After the  transfer of the suit,instead of striking it out,the President as well as the Attorney General of the federation,file...
