 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                       According to sources,Amber Heard is accusing her estranged husband Johnny Depp of domestic abuse in a court filing.Heard and her Lawyer Samantha Spector appeared at the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeless today friday where the 30 year old actress filed for a domestic violence restraining order.Heard brought with her photos of her alleged injuries,including one that appears to show her with a larage bruise around her eye.That photo was reportedly taken on saturday after Heard alleges that Depp hit her in the face with his iPhone and then fled when police arrived on the scene according to TMZ.Heard claims that 52 year old Johnny Depp,offered her money to keep the incident quiet,but she  instead made the decision to file for divorce that monday.She also has a video that allegedly shows Depp beating her according to TMZ.Depp was not present in court on friday as he is off promoting his new film Alice Through the Looking Glass.but he was represented d

EFCC RECENTLY ARRESTED A MAN FOR RUNNING AN ILLEGAL POLYTECHNIC IN IBADAN.{PHOTO}.

                      The Ibadan Zonal Office of the EFCC has arrested one Johnson Tola on allegation bordering on operation of illegal polytechnic and issuance of fake certificates.Investigation revealed that he has allegedly been using the polytechnic as a decoy to extort money from prospective students.Johnson allegedly refused to report at the EFCC office after he was granted an administrative bail earlier in the course of investigation.He is,at present,being detained at the instance of the court through a remand warrant.He would be charged to court  as soon as investigation is concluded.

                    A 28 year old tailor,Senami Balogun,was today fridayarraigned before a Badagry Chief Magistrates Court for allegedly pouring hot water on one Miss Tina Adamu.The accused is facing a one count charge of assault.The Prosecutor,Inspector Innocent Uko,told the court that the accused committed the offence on May 15 at the Ibereko area of Badagry.He revealed that the accused and the victim,who happened to be friends,engaged themselves in a heated argument.Uko said that the argument was over a man,adding that the accused dashed into the kitchen,brought a pot of hot water and poured it on the complainant.''The victim is currently in the hospital recuperating from the multiple injuries she sustained from the assault''The counsel to the accused,Mr Ayo Awe,pleaded with the court to grant bail to the accused since the offence was bailable.The Magistrate,Mr Abiodun Etti,granted bail to the accused in the sum of N50,00 and a surety who must provide evidence of tax

A UNITED STATES AIRLINE IN NIGERIA,WILL STOP OPERATION FROM NEXT MONTH.

                From next month United Airlines is closing up in Nigeria,citing weakness in the energy sector and difficulty in collecting money from tickets sold in the country.The airline currently operates a daily flight from Houston to Lagos.The route has reportedly underachieved for years but has been kept alive because of its importance to Texas-based customers,United Continental Holdings Inc,said in a note to employees on wednesday.The last flightt will be June 30,after which Delta Ail Lines Inc,will be the only major United States carrier flying to Africa,One more photo below.

                   Donkey cart operators in Kenya's wajir area have been directed to attach a poop collecting bag at the back of the donkeys.Wjir Town administrator Issack Abdi,said the move is aimed at ensuring cleanliness is maintained in and around the the town.The town administrator further said that no donkey will be allowed in the town without the poop collecting bag.One more photo below.
