MC Oluomo Loses Sister The chairman of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo, has announced the death of his elder sister, Kibitiu Akinsanya. He announced the death of his sister on his Instagram page on Thursday, where he also shared her picture. MC Oluomo said that her death came as a shock to him. He said, “This life is indeed ephemeral!!! It is with deep sadness and heavy sense of loss that I painfully announce the passing of my beloved dearly elder sister and mother, Alh. Kibitiu Adunni Adenuga Akinsanya. The news of her death came to me as the rudest shock ever and I am still trying to process it.

Passengers Groan As British Airways Diverts Abuja Flight To Lagos Over Terror Alert    A British Airways flight 83 from London Heathrow to Abuja on Thursday suddenly landed in Lagos instead of completing its journey to Abuja over concerns of a terror attack at the country’s capital. Checks by Peoples Gazette on Flightrader showed the flight changed course upon entering Nigerian airspace on Friday morning. Some passengers on the aeroplane complained that the flight was diverted to Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos after short notice via email. A passenger on the aeroplane, Olufemi Ojo, described it as a “horrible experience” after their flight was delayed upon landing at the airport without prior notice. He said when they landed in Nigeria on Thursday, passengers received a message that the flight would be landing in Lagos before they proceeded to Abuja. Governor Soludo stated this during the flag-off ceremony for the 16.25 kilometer Ajali-Akpu-Nawfija-Ogbunka road. Katsina Police repels terrorist attack, rescues 15 kidnapped victims Today being 28/10/2022 at about 0430hrs, a distress call was received that terrorists in their numbers, on motorbikes, shooting sporadically with AK 47 rifles, attacked Buraji and Sabon Sara villages, kidnap fifteen (15) women and six (6) children and rustled twenty (20) cows.  On receipt of the information, Area Commander, Dutsinma, ACP Mohammad Makama, led a team of police tactical units, blocked their exits route at Gandun Sarki village, engaged them into fierce gun duel and successfully rescued all the twenty-one (21) kidnapped victims and recovered twenty (20) rustled cows. Bonaventure Enemali, the immediate past Anambra State Commissioner, has been appointed into the Advisory Panel Committee on Governance, Democracy and Electoral Process of the United Nations- International Peace and Governance Council - UN-IPGC. Hon. Bonaventure Enemali at the time he was appointed Anambra State Commissioner for Youth by Gov Willie Obiano, was one of the youngest Commissioners in Nigeria. SaharaReporters had reported that the US authorities earlier directed its non-emergency staff to immediately depart from Nigeria. This order came barely three days after US authorities warned that there was an elevated risk of terror attacks in Nigeria, especially in Abuja. It noted that as a result of that, the US Embassies in the country will offer reduced services in the country until further notice. In another circular released on Thursday, the US government recommended that its citizens should avoid Nigeria and advised anyone who decided to travel to the country to keep a low profile and prepare a contingency plan for emergency situations. Six Internet Fraudsters Convicted In Enugu The EFCC, Enugu Zonal Command, has secured the conviction and sentencing of six internet fraudsters. They were jailed on Thursday, October 27, 2022 by Justice H.O Eya of the Enugu State High Court sitting in Enugu, on separate one -count charges bordering on cybercrime and obtaining by false pretences. The convicts are: Prince Inyama Chidebere, Paul Ifeanyichukwu Nwanegbo, Francis Uwaeme Nnadozie, Kenneth Akwozo, Prince Edward Egwu Chukwuemeka and Chigaemezu Favour Chimereuche.

Policeman Stabs Colleague To D£ath In Kebbi. The Kebbi State Police Command says one of its operatives, ASP Shu’aibu Sani Malumfashi, pictured below, has been st*bbed to d£ath by his colleague identified as ASP Abdullahi Garba.  Spokesperson of the command, SP Nafiu Abubakar, who disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, October 27, 2022, said the state commissioner of police, CP Kontagora has ordered thorough investigation to unravel circumstances surrounding the incident. According to the PPRO, Garba stabbed Malumfashi with a scissors during an altercation between the duo inside fishing village area in Argungu town on October 19, 2022.  ASP Malumfashi was rushed to a hospital in Birnin Kebbi, where a medical Doctor confirmed him d£ad.
