 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country.  North Carolina Elementary school volunteer and church employee caught filming up the skirt of an unsuspecting woman. 21-year-old, Thomas Elliot, was charged with secret peeping after a woman recorded him in the act. (Pictured below-left) The female who caught this shocking incident says she first noticed Elliot following her around. After evading him, she began to do some snooping of her own. When she saw him approaching an unsuspecting woman she began filming. In her cell phone video you can see Elliot placing his phone on the floor under a crouching woman's skirt while she is looking at merchandise.  Beside posting the disturbing video online to warn others, the woman also immediately alerted local police, who then came to the store and arrested Elliott after seeing evidence of his crime.  We Will No Longer Tolerate Obstruction of Our Operations   The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission wishes to warn members of the public that it is a criminal offence to obstruct officers of the Commission from carrying out their lawful duties.   Section 38(2)(a(b) of the EFCC Establishment Act makes it an offence to prevent officers of the Commission from carrying out their lawful duties. Culprits risk a jail term of not less than five years.   This warning becomes necessary against the background of the increasing tendency by persons and groups under investigation by the Commission to take the laws into their hands by recruiting thugs to obstruct lawful operations of the EFCC.   On several occasions, operatives of the Commission have had to exercise utmost restraint in the face of such provocation to avoid a breakdown of law and order.  ONE-CHANCE ROBBERY: Detectives from Ilasan Division Lagos state, have arrested Habeeb Azeez ‘m’ aged 29, Micheal Adeyeye ‘m’ aged 26, Biodun Iyiola ‘m’ aged 46 and Adeleye Dotun ‘m’ aged 27 in Ijora-Badia following discreet investigation into a complaint by a victim that the suspects withdrew N1.4million from her account during a one-chance robbery at Ilasan. VEHICLE RECOVERY: Patrol Officers from Ikotun Division, Lagos state, while on neighborhood patrol at about 1am intercepted an unregistered Toyota Yaris car with three occupants around Abaranje. Upon sighting the officers, the occupants took to their heels, abandoning the car. An intense search of the area led to the arrest of one Stanley Eshett aged 29. The car owner who was successfully contacted showed up and identified the suspect as one of the persons that violently took the car from him 40 minutes earlier. Investigation is ongoing.

This act of criminality, which was prevented by the proactive intervention of vigilant troops and private security operatives on duty at the refinery, is totally unacceptable and highly regrettable. It does not, therefore, represent the ethics and values of the NA. The two suspects have been identified and are currently under custody. The wife of Honorable Terwase Orbunde, former Chief of Staff to the Governor of Benue State, and her house help, who were abducted by gunmen in Makurdi last Friday evening have regained their freedom. Mrs Abigail Kashimana Orbunde, and Ms Patience Ogute, regained their freedom Tuesday afternoon, April 16, 2024, after an undisclosed amount was paid as ransom to their abductors who had demanded N100 million. The captives spent four harrowing days in captivity before their release. They have reunited with some of their family members and taken to hospital for immediate medical attention. The gunmen on Friday, April 12, 2024, attacked Honorable Orbunde, and abducted his wife and house help.  FG now spends N600bn monthly on petrol subsidy, Rainoil CEO claims Gabriel Ogbechie, chief executive officer (CEO) of Rainoil Limited, claims the federal government (FG) now spends N600 billion on petrol subsidy monthly. Ogbechie spoke on Tuesday during the Stanbic IBTC Energy and Infrastructure Breakfast Session held in Lagos. President Bola Tinubu, in his inauguration speech on May 29, 2023, said the subsidy on petrol “is gone”. However, according to Ogbechie, the federal government resumed petrol subsidy following the devaluation of the naira in the foreign exchange (FX) market. Ibrahim died on Wednesday morning, aged 57, after a brief illness. At the resumed hearing on the matter today, Counsel to Kanu had gave some conditions for the the continuation of his trial.  Galaxy tv reports that during the hearing on Wednesday at the Federal High Court Abuja, Kanu agreed to acceleration of prosecution of the charges against him on the ground that his conditions are met.  Man stabs wife to death after she bit his finger during a passionate s*x session A Brazilian man turned himself in to the police after he said he murdered his wife because she bit his finger while having sex.  Marcos Paulino told the São Paulo Civil Police that his wife, Tatiéle de Cássia, 38, bit one of his fingers on his left hand when they were having a passionate session. He said he was upset so he waited until she fell asleep and attacked her with a kitchen knife at their home in the municipality of Caconde.  “After she changed (her clothes) and went back to bed and slept, he stabbed her in the neck and chest, killing her,” Civil Police chief João Delfino told Brazilian news outlet G1.
