 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

      Bird allegedly turns into an old woman at Oworonshoki, Lagos (video) Some residents of Oworonshoki community in Lagos State, took to Facebook to make claims of a bird turning into an old woman today September 21. A facebook user identified as Abigail Chinemerem Ken Shared photos with the caption '' This is happening live now @ no 39 Miyaki Street Oworonshoki Lagos. A big bird landed on the ground and turned to an old woman. She said she flew all the way from Ijebu_ode. That is how God will keep exposing them one after the other''.More photos below.

While we agree that the violence in Nigeria, or in any country, is a major concern and that there is a rippling effect, we are disappointed that the rapporteur was silent on intra-group violence. In Benue, Taraba, Cross River States and many parts of the country, most of the casualties result from intra-group, inter-group and community violence. Many of the displaced persons across the nation are also victims of these conflicts. There is absolutely no doubt that violence between farmers and herders, which has a long history in our country spiked in recent years but the effectiveness with which the Federal and State authorities responded made a big difference.      DSS files seven fresh charges against Omoyele Sowore including; 'treasonable felony and cyberstalking President Buhari' The Federal Government has slammed a fresh seven-count charge against detained political activist and convener of the RevolutionNow Protest, Omoyele Sowore, accusing him of treason, money laundering and cyberstalking President Buhari. The case was filed at the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court and it comes 24 hours to the expiration of the 45-day period the court permitted the DSS to hold him. Also charged with Sowore in case FHC/ ABJ/CR/235/2019, is Olawale Adebayo Bakare (aka Mandate), who was arrested in Osogbo, Osun state.       About 10 days ago, this young Nigerian rapper and singer, Olanrewaju Pelepele shared an emotional video online talking about how depressed he was and his plans to take his own life. At the time, he wasn't taken serious and now, he has made good on his promise and has taken his life. He was found stone cold dead in his apartment on Friday, September 20th 2019. His death stems from his long battle with depression and his inability to fully break into the Nigerian music industry despite 10years of hard work.One more photo below.

      Why I orchestrated Killing and beheading of our gang leader –Kidnap suspect By Juliana Francis and Ridwan Wakilu Operatives of the Inspector- General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team (IRT) Led by DCP Abba Kyari have smashed the gang behind the abduction of the Chief Accountant of Plantgeria Limited, an oil servicing firm, operating in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. The victim, Dr. SMC Maduagwu, was kidnapped and a ransom of N20million paid for his release. Four among the alleged kidnappers have been arrested. The suspects, including a native doctor, have been identified as Tony Rafael, Nnaji Romanus, Nwobodo Uche and Uchechukwu Ibekwe. According to police sources, the suspects were grabbed in their hideouts in Rivers and Imo states.
