 Court adjourns case seeking to sack 27 pro-Wike lawmakers A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has adjourned till June 3, 2024 the hearing for a suit filed by members of the Rivers State Civil Society Organisation seeking to sack 27 lawmakers of the State House of Assembly. When the parties arrived at the Court for hearing on the matter on Friday, the Clerk of the court informed them that the Judge, Justice Stephen Daylop Pam was indisposed and a new date was picked. The CSO’s had approached the court to seek interpretation of Section 109 of the 1999 Constitution and whether the lawmakers, who defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress still have legal rights to remain as lawmakers of their constituencies. The CSO’s led by the Rivers State Chairman, Enefaa Georgewill also want the court to restrain Governor Siminalayi Fubara from representing the 2024 budget to the lawmakers who defected. Troops arrest suspected bandit in Jema'a local government area - Police foil kidnap attempt in Chikun local government area Troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) have reported the arrest of a suspected bandit in Jagindi, Jema'a local government area. The suspect, Hussaini Damina, had been wanted for some time, and is believed to have been involved in the deadly attack on Ungwan Bido, same LGA, in late November of 2020, which left six people dead and two injured. Damina is reported to be an associate of another notorious bandit, Umar Wakili Yusuf, who was himself arrested on April 15th 2021. Acting on a tip-off on Monday, the troops apprehended Damina in the Jagindi area, and subsequently arrested him. Investigations are in progress following his arrest. In another development, a police patrol team foiled an attempt by armed bandits to kidnap the occupants of a truck along the Udawa-Buruku road in Chikun local government area. The

  Chairman of the National Youth Service Corps Governing Council, Ambassador Fatimah Abubakar, has described Ogun State Orientation Camp as, "a five star hotel", due to the quality of facilities available at the camp. Speaking when she led members of the Council on a courtesy call to the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, in his office at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, Ambassador Abubakar said her team has visited many orientation camps in the country, but none compared to the one built by Ogun State in Sagamu. "Ogun State is the most friendly NYSC State in the country. I have gone to many orientation camps in this country, I must say that Ogun State has the best orientation Camp. Infact Ogun State camp is like a five-star hotel. It's the best", she noted.   Doctor Bello recently had Nigerians on social media buzzing after she threw a big party to celebrate her separation from her husband. Taking to social media, the professional life coach shared photos and videos from the colourful ceremony. It appeared a dress code was chosen seeing as the happy woman’s friends all rocked red outfits. Ikea Bello also wore a stunning velvet purple and red dress and she was seen partying away with her guests. According to her, her divorce and freedom party was a wonderful occasion. In her words, it was lit. Bello marked the occasion like it was another wedding. She changed her outfits and even disclosed that her choice of first attire was inspired by Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh. She wrote: “About last weekend ❤️ My divorce/ freedom party was lit. My 1st look for the day Outfit inspired by @tontolet” Despite not sharing a lot of details on what led to her divorce, she left hints in her hashtags where she explained that she divorced a narcissist and th
