 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

    According to one of my reporters Chinenye Genevieve who sent in this photos with the caption ''The duo are said to have gone to the Beach to attend a friend's birthday party on Sunday but it turned sour as they both died much to the shock of many.Ubong Ekpe who was married with four lovely children was until his sudden death the Manager of Skye Bank, Nwaniba  Road branch, Uyo.The death of the fair-skinned Manager and that of his brother has thrown the family, friends and colleagues into mourning. When the news broke on social media, many could not come to terms with the news of their death with some wishing it was not true.The Ekpes are said to be a popular family in the state whose family house located on Udo Umana Street in Uyo is well known for the “Ekpe” sculpture in front of the house.When newsmen visited the deceased house, tears and gloom had engulfed the entire household with members refusing to speak on the matter as they were too shocked by the sad news.When

ADEOSUN REASSIGNS PORTFOLIOS IN SEC,AS MARY UDUK TAKES OVER AS ACTING DG.#PRESS RELEASE.

         The Honourable Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, on Friday approved the reassignment of portfolios in the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). 2. Ms. Mary Uduk will assume the position of Acting Director-General of the Commission. Uduk’s appointment is governed by the provisions of the Investments and Securities Act (ISA), 2007 and the conditions of service applicable to the Director-General of the Commission. 3. The Minister, in a letter dated 13th April, 2018, said Uduk’s appointment had become necessary to ensure effective regulation of the Capital Market. Her appointment will, subject to satisfactory performance, subsist until further notice. 4. HUMAN PARTS DISCOVERED INSIDE CHURCH UNDERGROUND, PROPHET ARRESTED .{PHOTOS}.

       77-year-old prophet Samuel Babatunde, who is the founder of Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Itedo Isinmi Ayo Parish, Egan Road in Iyana-Iyesi area of Ota in Ogun state, has been arrested alongside three others. The suspects were arrested after some human parts were discovered to have been buried inside the church premises. Commissioner of Police in the state, Ahmed Iliyasu, told newsmen while parading the suspects, that the men were arrested after a serial children kidnapper, Jeremiah Adeola, who was also arrested last Saturday, confessed that he abducts children and delivers them to the 77-year-old prophet. The police boss said a 43-year-old herbalist, Haruna Afolabi, worked with the suspects to bury the human parts at the entrance of the church."Operatives attached to the police Area Command in Ota received technical intelligence about Adeola and eventually apprehended him.        Lagos State Commissioner for Establishments, Training and Pensions, Dr. Akintola Benson Oke has declared that the Governor Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration in Lagos has enjoyed the best industrial relations with the various recognized Unions in the State since its inception three years ago. The Commissioner, who made the declaration at the 2018 Ministerial Press Briefing in commemoration of the Third Year in Office of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode at Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre, Alausa, Ikeja, said that the feat is the first in the history of the State since creation over 50 years ago.          A 10-year-old apprentice was seriously dealt with by his master after disobeying his orders. Facebook user,   Dumeje Okafor , who met the injured apprentice while receiving treatment - revealed that the boy's head was split open by his master in Anambra state. Below is what he shared online; (unedited) "Down here if your 10years old boy apprentice misbehaves or disobeys you, you can choose to emulate 'that master' and quickly burst his head.       The lady on the photos was allegedly raped and killed by fulani herdsmen in Nteje, Oyi LGA of Anambra State. The yet-to-be-identified lady was said to have been going to work in a farm in the community when the fulani herdsmen accosted her. According to some of the villagers who found her body, it was believed that she struggled with her assailants before they overpowered her and snuffed the life out of her. There was a mark on the right side of her face which is probably as a result of a blow from a sharp machete. "We saw her slippers and her "Holy Rosary" some few yards away from her mutilated body and signs of struggling on the sand where it was believed she was dragged." one of the indigenes of the community said.         A 20-year-old 300 Level Political Science student of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU) aka ANSU, has been killed in an intra cult clash in Anambra State. According to reports, Odera Chuks was killed around 7pm on Monday, in one of the villages surrounding the institution. He was said to be a member of the "Black Axe Confraternity" and was killed by  cult members during a supremacy battle.One more photo below.
