Ecstatic crowd of residents filed along the route to welcome the Governor, who rode in a BRT bus to formally flag off the 13.68 kilometre-long corridor for public use. The BRT project was handled and supervised by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) - an agency of the State’s Ministry of Transportation. The Oshodi-Abule Egba corridor is a major link for residents who commute in and out of Alimosho, Egbeda, Ijaiye, Iyana Ipaja and Oshodi. The Minister of Health, Dr. Osagie Ehanire received the donation at Premier Medical Warehouse, Jabi, Abuja. While conveying the appreciation of President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR to President Donald Trump and the people of America, the Minister applauded the United States for the donation which he considers “generous and friendly” particularly at this time when the US is also being preoccupied by the global pandemic, the minister assured that the equipment will be judiciously used. The President’s representative said: “This donation consists of 200 ventilators, which, as we all know by now, are a critical component of the response strategy to save the lives of persons who have been severely impacted by this viral infection. “

      The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibadan Zonal Office, on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, arrested 32 "Yahoo boys" for alleged involvement in internet fraud. The suspects were apprehended during a raid on their hideout in Ogbomoso, Oyo State. Officers of the EFCC swept on the location, after diligent analysis of series of intelligence gathered on their alleged criminal activities . Three of the suspects claimed to be serving members of the National Youth Service Corps ( NYSC), 19 were undergraduates of various universities across the country, while the remaining 10 laid claim to sundry vocations.      The Ministry of Youth and Sports Development has set up a Focal Group on the newly approved Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF). The Focal Group is an assemblage of youth leaders and groups from diverse fields, entrepreneurial experts and individuals with youth development and finance experience. The NYIF Focal Group is entrusted with processing stakeholders’ views and inputs about the Fund and making same available to the NYIF’s Technical  Committee. The group will also provide valuable feedbacks on expectations of the youth generally and deliberate on wide ranging issues around youth entrepreneurship and credit access.     In a bid to maintain an all-round continuous learning for private and public school students during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lagos State Government has launched a well-packaged educational television programme tagged: “The Total Education Show”. The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, who disclosed this today in Ikeja, explained that the programme is an intervention concept by the Ministry and  it is aimed at enriching the students' knowledge with educational programmes, in addition to the existing curriculum of daily radio, television and online classes.
