 Thirty-nine traffic officials were arrested for fraud and corruption in Mpumalanga and Limpopo since last week. This is part of a massive cleanup operation to restore discipline and ethical conduct in the traffic law enforcement sector. In Mpumalanga, 13 traffic officers were arrested today in various towns, including Nelspruit, Kabokweni, and Hazyview.  18 PASSENGERS BURNT TO DEATH IN IJEBU-ODE/ORE EXPRESSWAY A total of 18 passengers have been burnt to death in Ogbere, Ijebu East Local Government Area along the busy Ijebu-Ode/Ore Express Way. The lone accident involved a Toyota Hiace,with registration  number XA 690AKU. While all  the passengers  burnt beyond recognition, the driver escaped with injuries.  How Bandits Attacked Catholic, ECWA Churches In Kajuru, Abducted Pastor, 30 Others   Three people have been feared dead, and 30 others have been kidnapped following a bandits' attack on churches in Bakinpah-Maro, Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, on Sunday. The former chairman of Kajuru LGA, Cafra Caino, confirmed the incident, stating that the assailants arrived in large numbers around 10am. They reportedly targeted both an ECWA church and a Catholic church.  "The bandits came in large numbers and attacked the two churches," Caino said, according to The Nation.  Among those abducted was Bernard Gajera, a pastor from one of the churches.  The police have yet to release a statement on the attack. This attack comes amid recent efforts by the Maro community to raise funds for a security post to attract more law enforcement personnel, addressing persistent security issues that have disrupted farming activities.

 Lagos man Benjamin hangs self A 54-year-old man, simply identified as Benjamin, has committed suicide by hanging himself in a store in the house he was living at the Agege area of Lagos state. While confirming the incident on Monday, the spokesperson for Lagos Police Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the incident happened on Sunday at about 8:00 p.m. According to him, the elder brother to the deceased reported the incident at the Elere Police Station that his brother allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself to death in the store of their house. “Officers of the division immediately visited the scene and the deceased was lowered and taken to the Orile-Agege General Hospital, where he was certified dead. “No mark of violence was found on the body of the deceased, ” Hundeyin said.  Sean “Diddy” Combs was arrested Monday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in New York said. Combs was arrested at the Park Hyatt hotel on West 57th Street, a representative said. He was caught off-guard by the apprehension, according to a person familiar with the situation, who added he had been living at the hotel for several weeks. U.S. Attorney Damian Williams confirmed in a statement that on Monday evening, federal agents had arrested Combs, based on a sealed indictment filed by the Southern District of New York.   “We expect to move to unseal the indictment in the morning and will have more to say at that time,” Williams said. Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo expressed disappointment in a statement.
