 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

EFCC ARRESTED 13 SUSPECTED INTERNET FRAUDSTERS IN LAGOS.{PHOTOS}.

       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos zonal office, has arrested 13 suspected Internet fraudsters for conspiracy, possession of fraudulent documents and obtaining money under false pretence. The suspects are- Badejo Tobi; Abiola Dimeji; Anthony Godwin; Osoba Adeboye; Adeleken Abiodun and Awokoya Oriyomi Yusuf. Others are: Oyatayo Ismail; Coffie Meschark; Sylvester Amaddin; Olawale Farouk; Adeniran Tolani; Tai wo Michael and OyekanmiAyodeji.They were arrested on Saturday, December 16, 2017 in some parts of Lagos and Ogun States, following intelligence report received by the Commission about their activities.The suspects allegedly confessed to be involved in phishing, love scam, forgery, spoofing and business email compromise, among other offences.Phishing is an attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details (and money), often for malicious reasons, by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communicat

TRUCK CRASHED INTO A VEHICLE AT POLICE CHECKPOINT IN UKPOR+POLICEMEN ESCAPED DEATH.{PHOTOS}.

        Lucky men of the Nigerian police force escape death this morning in Amadim Ukpor, A town in Anambra state as a full loaded sand truck failed to climb a hilly road and resorted to uncontrollable reverse. The policemen who were on duty at the checkpoint implored their colleague who parked the car to rush relocate the vehicle, unfortunately he wasn't fast enough as the truck crashed on it while the police driver entered to ignite and shift the vehicle. It was a sad moment as colleagues and others present thought that a life has been lost but miraculously, The man creeped out slightly hurt. The police vehicle belongs to the Ukpor Police Division.More photos below.

OGUN LAUNCHES MITROS RICE TODAY.{PHOTOS}

           The Agricultural Production and Industrialisation policy of the Ogun State Government, one of the five cardinal programme of the Senator Ibikunle Amosun led administration, has yielded another landmark result, with the launching of the MITROS rice. The unveiling of the rice was performed by the Presidential Task Force on Agricultural Commodities and Production, led by its Chairman, the Governor of Kebbi State, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu. The MITROS rice, made up of the Nerica 8 and Faro brands, are the short and long grains, planted, harvested, processed and packaged, exclusively by the Ogun State government and small holder farmers in the Gateway State. Amosun, speaking at the event, said the rice is ready for sale from this festive period, in all the Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas of the State, at affordable prices, ranging from N1,000.00 to N11,500.00.       Surviving widows and families of gallant soldiers who paid the ultimate price in the fight against insurgency in the North East have been charged to be self-reliant by making effective use of skills and support kits acquired during the empowerment training facilitated by the North East Regional Initiative (NERI) and its partners. The General Officer Commanding (GOC) 7 Division Nigerian Army, Major Gener al Ibrahim Manu Yusuf gave this charge during the graduation ceremony of 200 beneficiaries who received various training in the production of local soft drinks, tailoring, knitting design and grinding.        An automobile mechanic who works in Enugu has totally transformed an old and abandoned 1975 Peugeot 504 car to a posh luxury semi sports car. It was gathered that the Anambra-born mechanic known as Ejike Francis is very ingenious for his ability to "pimp" vehicles whereby giving them a total makeover.
