  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements. EFCC Arrests Suspect on FBI Wanted-List in Enugu The Enugu Zonal Command of the EFCC, has arrested Emmanuel Dike Chidiebere, a suspect on the watch list of the American Federal Bureau of Investigation, FBI, for conspiracy, wire fraud and money laundering. Acting on verified intelligence, operatives of the Commission on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, tracked the suspect to Orlu Local Government Area of Imo State where he was arrested Chidiebere is alleged to have defrauded some victims in America, Cote D’Ivoire and Poland of some undisclosed amount of money and went underground.  Three of his accomplices are still at large. Yahoo Boy's Mother Jailed Five Years in Benin Debest Osarumwense, mother of Endurance Osarumwense, an internet fraudster was today March 29, 2022, sentenced to five years imprisonment by Justice M. S. Shuaibu of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin City. Debest was arraigned by the Benin Zonal Command of the Commission on a one count charge for aiding her son to receive the sum of N91,296,150 (Ninety One Million, Two Hundred and Ninety Six Thousand, One Hundred and Fifty Naira) only, being proceeds of his criminal activities. Upon arraignment, the defendant pleaded guilty.

[LIST] 16 Victims Of Kaduna-Abuja Train Attack Admitted At 44 Army Reference Hospital The names of the 16 victims of the Kaduna-Abuja train terror attack hospitalised at the 44 Army Reference Hospital have been revealed. Names on the list obtained by our correspondent include; Haruna Muhammed, Mohammed Modibo, Ibrahim Wakala; Yakubu Nuhu; Abdulahi Yahaya, Ismail Saidu, Abdumalik Rasheedat,  Umar Mohammed. Also on the list are Hadiza Umar, Musa Ishawan, Aisha Yusuf, Mohammed Ameen, Abubakar Hauwau, Aliyu Sulaiman, Olaosebikan Bilikisu and Mrs Leola Abdulbasit.

KADUNA TRAIN ATTACK: PRESIDENT BUHARI DIRECTS IMMEDIATE IMPLEMENTATION OF SECURITY SOLUTION; CONDEMNS INCIDENT   President Muhammadu Buhari has directed the immediate conclusion of all the processes for the implementation of the integrated security surveillance and monitoring solution for the Abuja to Kaduna railway line and that this be extended to cover the Lagos-Ibadan railway line. He also directed the Nigerian Railway Corporation management to speedily repair the damaged lines and resume normal service without delay. Orders troops to intensity Search and Rescue Operations, Hunt down terrorists The Chief of Army Staff (COAS)Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya has today 29 March 2022 visited the scene of Kaduna - Abuja train attack. The COAS, who was accompanied by some principal staff officers of the Army Headquarters and the General Officer Commanding 1 Division, on arrival at scene, assessed the security situation around the general area of the attack and inspected the attacked train, as well as the rail track to evaluate the degree of damage. He ordered the troops of the NA and other security agencies to intensify their search and rescue operations to ensure that the kidnapped victims are rescued unconditionally. PRESS RELEASE                                                                                                     POLICE FOIL ATTACK ON DANGOTE REFINERY -      CP Alabi Emplaces Fortified Security   Security operatives in the early hours of yesterday Monday March 28, 2022 foiled an attempted attack on Dangote Refinery, Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos.   Armed hoodlums numbering about twenty who gained access to the refinery through the lagoon side were repelled while attempting to cart away already-installed armored cables in the refinery.   The hoodlums on sighting security operatives fled the scene. Two cleaners and workers of the attacked Abuja-Kaduna train identified as Loretta and Abdul have been confirmed dead. some security personnel and passengers have also been confirmed dead but their names have yet to be released. A lot passengers were also injured or abducted, it was learnt, it was gathered. "Meanwhile, two dead bodies have been deposited at St. Gerald’s Catholic Hospital in Kaduna while some persons are being treated for gunshot injuries,"

2023: My Focus At This Time Is Fighting Inflation Not Politics – Emefiele  Amid speculations that he may be running for President in 2023, Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele on Monday said his focus was on solving macroeconomic challenges, including fighting inflation. Banners of Mr Emefiele as a presidential candidate has flooded parts of the country, suggesting he might be interested in politics. “My focus at this time is a robust monetary policy and fighting inflation which is now a global problem; building a strong financial system in an increasingly uncertain global economy,” Mr Emefiele said in a series of tweets.

EVACUATION OF TRAPPED TRAIN PASSENGERS-KDSG.(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE.

KDSG Security Update: Tuesday 29 March 2022 Evacuation of trapped train passengers concluded  Evacuation of passengers on the trapped Kaduna-bound train from Abuja has been concluded this morning by security forces, officials of Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) and Nigerian Red Cross.  Passengers who sustained injuries, and other fatalities, have been moved to hospitals.  The passengers were evacuated from different hard-to-reach areas in forests and rocky locations in Audujongom, off the Kaduna-Abuja Road.  As stated yesterday, the Kaduna State Government is still liaising with the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) to ascertain the list from the passengers manifest for efficient tracking. Governor Nasir El-Rufai who commended all those who participated in the evacuation, appealed to the hospitals to attend to the victims diligently.  The Governor also directed the Ministry of Health to be in contact with the hospitals as government will bear the cost of their treatment

AIRLINE SUSPENDS FLIGHT OPERATIONS TO KADUNA.(PHOTO).

Azman Air has announced the suspension of flights to Kaduna over the recent attack on the Kaduna International Airport. The airline’s management disclosed this in a statement issued on Monday. On Saturday it was reported how terrorists had shot into the runway of the airport, killing a security guard. The terrorists were, however, repelled by security operatives. An Azman Air flight was said to have been delayed for 44 minutes as a result of the incident, but passengers on the aircraft flew safely from Kaduna to Lagos. Giving an update on its decision following the incident at the airport, Azman Air said the suspension is to ensure that the safety of travellers and workers is guaranteed.
