 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. Anambra State Government To Begin Recruitment Of 3000 Teachers Soon As part of efforts to improve public sector education in the state, Anambra State government will soon commence the process of recruiting an additional 3000 teachers into the state public schools. Governor Chukwuma Soludo dropped the hint when he paid a visit to Community Secondary School, Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area of the state. GUNMEN KILL THREE VIGILANTE IN EDO.(PHOTO).

Gunmen kill three vigilante in Edo  Three members of the Edo State Security Network were on Thursday night, shot dead by unknown gunmen in Okhun Community, Ovia North-East Local Government Area of the state. The hoodlums numbering over 10 according to eyewitnesses invaded the community and shot the victims who were on duty. Some of the eyewitnesses said the attack is connected with leadership tussle in the community, while others suspected it to be cult reprisal attack. Also, a member of the Emergency Social Safety Net, who introduced himself simply as ‘commander Small Baba, confirmed the incident in a viral video.

FG warns fuel station operators against pump alteration The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) has said it will sanction fuel stations that alter petroleum pumps. Farouk Ahmed, NMDPRA Chief Executive, stated this during an interactive session with commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) on Friday in Abuja. Ahmed said that petrol stations caught dispensing fuel with adjusted fuel pumps would face heavy sanctions, including revocation of operating licences, suspension from operation, or a shutdown, depending on the gravity of the offence. ASUU National President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, stated this in an interview with Newsmen on Friday. He was reacting to a circular issued by the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation regarding the increment. “We have not been informed of such a development and when we are officially notified, we are going to react,” he told our correspondent on phone.  Tribunal Upholds Plateau Governor's Election  The Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal in Plateau State has upheld the election of Governor Caleb Mutfwang of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).  The three-member panel, in its judgment delivered on today, unanimously held that the petitioner failed in its petition because it lacked merit. Justice Sunday Olorundahunsi, reading the judgment, dismissed all three grounds canvassed by the petitioner and governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda. The judgment affirmed the election declaring Mutfwang as the winner having scored 525,299 votes against Yilwatda's 481,370.
