 STATE HOUSE PRESS RELEASE  PRESIDENT TINUBU APPOINTS CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICERS OF TWO AGENCIES  President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Dr. Innocent Bariate Barikor as the Director-General of the National Environmental Standards and Regulation Enforcement Agency (NESREA). The President has also approved the appointment of Prince Ebitimi Amgbare as the Managing Director/CEO of the Niger Delta River Basin Development Authority (NDRBDA). Dr. Barikor is an academic and politician. He was a member of the Rivers State House of Assembly from 2011 to 2015, while Prince Amgbare is a retired naval officer and former commissioner in Bayelsa State. The President expects that the new heads of these important agencies will discharge their duties with utmost fidelity to the nation and unfailing adherence to the highest standards of professionalism, accountability, and excellent service to the people of Nigeria. Flash : Parish Priest Abandons Christianity to go back to the ways of the elders.  A Togolese parish priest has abandoned his call to priesthood for the Shrine.  He argued that the Chinese did not leave their own religion when they were colonized.  Therefore Africans are making a mistake by leaving theirs.  He said that the teachings of Christianity are not fit for an African society  He So he is going back to the wisdom of the gods.  What do you think?. KDSG Security Update: Sunday 30th January 2022  Eleven confirmed killed, others injured in Zangon Kataf LGA  Security forces have reported to the Kaduna State Government that Kurmin Masara general area of Zangon Kataf LGA was attacked in the early hours of today.  According to the reports, troops of the Nigerian Air Force Special Forces who responded to distress calls from the area also fell into an ambush as they mobilized to the scene of the attack.  The troops cleared the ambush and reached the general area, along with troops of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH).  As of 4:30PM, eleven residents were confirmed killed, and some inflicted with gunshot injuries.  The victims confirmed killed are listed as follows:  - Elizabeth Ayuba  - Veronica Auta  - Bege Daniel - Kephas Waje  - Promise Jacob  - Damaris istifanus  - Hauwa Joshua  - Dogara Gambo - Lidia Ishaya  - Michael Achi  - Gabriel Michael Over thirty houses and properties were burnt in the attack.  The injured were evacuated for treatm

Angry Youths Protest In Onitsha Against ‘Oga’ Who After 9 Years Of Apprenticeship ‘Settled’ His ‘Boi-Boi’ With Only N100,000 Some youths, comprising traders and apprentices at the International Electrical Market, Obosi/Onitsha, Anambra state on Saturday, 29th January, 2022, protested against a man (name withheld), known in market parlance as ‘Oga’, who could only ‘settle’ his apprentice (Boi-Boi) of nine years with the sum of one hundred thousand naira only.  The youths protested in front of the man’s shop chanting ‘enough is enough, the revolution has started’, demanding that he treats his apprentice fairly, saying that the apprentice served the man very well.  The Igbo apprenticeship scheme (Igba-Boi) is a unique entrepreneurial model practiced mainly by Ndigbo. Senate President Ahmed Lawan has expressed the desire of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom to join the ruling party in no distant time. He said that there is no shame in asking since it is a gesture that would bring development, unity and progress in the country as the governor concerned would be a quality addition to the party. Seizes 22 UK, France, Portugal passports at MMIA  Three trans-border drug traffickers have been arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, while trying to smuggle 48,000 tablets of 225mg Tramadol through Mubi, Adamawa state to Cameroon Republic, just as over 1,500 kilograms of imported Loud and other illicit substances have been intercepted in raids across Lagos and Edo states. The suspects: Mohammed Hussaini, 32; Adamu Bella, 18, and Mohammed Umar, 18, were arrested at Tsamiya Junction, Madanya Road, Mubi, Mubi North LGA, Adamawa State on Friday 28th January, with the exhibits concealed in the packets of another drug. Gist has it that this man told their Pastor to call he and his girlfriend  infront of the church. Pastor called them infront of the church. Dude knelt down  and brought out a ring. Immediately, the lady's  face changed! The man kept  smiling at her. Pastor too was smiling. The girls face continued to wear and angry look. The man whilst kneeling down popped the bug question 👇 "Will you marry me?" The girl began to  scratch her head, neck, armpit in discomfort. She then ran out of the church. The Rivers State government on Saturday demolished homes at Elechi Phase I, Diobu, Port Harcourt. The state government had earlier threatened to evacuate residents in some coastal communities in the state for allegedly harbouring criminals. Two Gate Men Disappear With Oga's 8.5 Million Naira In Lagos State Robbed of $15,000 These two boys who are gate men in an apartment in Lekki broke into the apartment I stay in Lekki, tore my travel bag and made away with my $15,000 (N8.5M) around 11:30pm last night.  The apartment manager who came around went me alongside policemen to other apartments where the thieves colleagues are security men only to discover that the five of them have suddenly all disappeared that night. The five Benue boys have switched off their phones. The one on the left is Stephen Oche. Their guarantor, Abraham also bolted away last night, apparently after being told by Isreal of his new found fortune. Anyone who can help me get them have a reward of N1 million. A young boy, Ernest has completed his secondary school education, eight years after he was accused of being a witch by his community. His rescuer and founder of the Land of Hope charity, Anja Ringgren Lovén, who is based in Akwa Ibom State, shared the update on the young man. Loven said, “Eight years ago, Ernest was accused of being a witch, yesterday he graduated as one of Akwa Ibom's top students and next month he will start university to study electric engineering!” One more photo below.
