 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. Rivers State Governor Barr Nyesom Wike has defeated his Delta State Counterpart Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to emerge the running mate to the Presidential candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar . Soludo Swears-In Four New   Special Advisers.  Governor Chukwuma Soludo has sworn-in four new special advisers.  Governor Soludo performed the function at the twelfth Anambra State Executive Council meeting at the Executive Chambers, Government House, Awka. Those sworn-in are Rt. Hon. 22 Year Old Girl Stabbed To Death In Anambra State. A 300-Level Student of the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN), Chiamaka Mabel Okeke, has been killed by suspected armed robbers in Anambra State. Reports Suggest that Miss Chiamaka who was a student of the Department of History and International Studies, died after she was stabbed during a robbery attack at a Shawarma spot where she had been working due to the ASUU strike. The Incident Happened at the popular Ezi Alias junction in Enugwu-Ukwu, Nijkoka Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Prostitute Burnt To Death For Keeping Quran Under Pillow  The Lagos State Police Command has charged three suspects to court for allegedly beating a prostitute, Hannah Saliu, to death and setting her corpse ablaze for keeping the Holy Quran in her room. The source said, “What happened was that the girl was a prostitute and a customer patronised her and after sleeping with her, the customer paid N1,000 for her service. “But when the customer was leaving, he stole the prostitute’s N5,000 and after discovering that her money had gone missing, the prostitute chased him to ask for her money. “The Northerners, who were with the customer that the girl accused of stealing her money, asked if she was sure that he stole her money. 42-Year-Old Adamu Commits Suicide After His Girl Married Another Man A 42-Year-Old Man Identified as Ibrahim Adamu Mohd, has committed suicide by hanging at Kanti quarters in Kazaure Local Government Area of Jigawa State after his girlfriend married another man. It Was gathered that residents of Kanti woke up on Sunday morning, June 12, and found the man with a rope around his neck, dangling from a tree. Spokesperson of the Jigawa State Police Command, DSP Lawan Shiisu Adam, who confirmed the incident on Monday, said the deceased is an indigene of Gayawa village in Ungogo LGA of Kano State. He said Mr. Ibrahim committed suicide by hanging himself along Daura Road Adjacent Baushe filling station in Kazaure town at an uncompleted building.
