  We have appointed the winner of the Big Brother Naija Lockdown,  @itslaycon  Youth Ambassador of Ogun State in addition to house and cash gifts. I relayed this development today, when I played host to Olamilekan Moshood Agbelesebioba AKA Laycon in my Oke-Mosan office in Abeokuta. The appointment and gifts are a celebration of Laycon's good character, intellect and virtues which were proven to the whole world on live TV as better choices than vices. A proud son of Ogun State, Laycon displayed the essence of focus in the face of temptations and provocations. This is the true Ogun State spirit, and it indeed confirms that this earned him his academic achievement at the University of Lagos. Entertainment and academics mix finely for a good result.   The House of Representatives is ready to partner with the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) to deliver housing for Nigerians, Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila has said. Gbajabiamila said he believed Nigerians deserve the best in terms of housing, hence the House's readiness to collaborate with the current management of FHA to achieve the mandate of the agency. Speaking when he hosted the management of FHA, led by the Managing Director, Senator Gbenga Ashafa, on a courtesy call on Tuesday, the Speaker said with the calibre of the team in the agency, he was of the firm conviction that they would take the agency to enviable heights.   Justice Ladiran Akintola of the Oyo State High Court, Ibadan, on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, convicted and sentenced one Damilare Tolu Ogunleke to four months in prison for internet fraud. The convict was prosecuted by the Ibadan Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) on amended three-count charge for obtaining gift cards worth $5,700 USD (Five Thousand, Seven Hundred United States Dollars) by fraud, contrary to Section 419 of the Criminal Code Law Cap 38, Laws of Oyo 2000. One of the charges read: “That you Damilare Tolu Ogunleke (‘m’) sometime in the year 2019, at Ogbomosho, Oyo State, within the jurisdiction of this honourable court, with intent to defraud, obtained gift cards worth $5000 (Five Thousand United States of America Dollars) from one Porter Pattern by falsely representing to him that you are a female and other pretences, which you knew to be false.” He pleaded guilty to all the charges upon which prosecution counsel, Lanre Abdulrasheed, ...

  A University of Ilorin student, Itanola Abdulsamad will on October, 29, 2020, face fresh trial before Justice Sikiru Oyinloye of the Kwara State High Court, Ilorin for alleged internet fraud. This followed the suspect’s switch from “guilty” to “not guilty” plea, on Tuesday, October 6, 2020 court proceeding and the consequent adjournment of the matter by the judge. The suspect was facing prosecution by the Ilorin Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC on 10-count charges of internet fraud to which he pleaded guilty upon his arraignment on Friday, October 2, 2020 but had to make a dramatic switch to “not guilty,” today on his re-arraignment on amended four-count charge, prompting the judge to adjourn the matter, preparatory to his fresh trial.   A Nigerian man has been exposed online for offering to pay a lady N150k daily to eat her faeces. In a chat conversation shared by one Britney Sophia Mark on Facebook, a man named Samson Obiaze had chatted her up to make digusting offers after pleading to be in a relationship with her. According to the conversation, the man offerred to pay the young lady N150k daily to eat her faeces, an offer which the disgusted lady rejected outrightly. As if that wasn't enough, the man offered her an extra N50K to make it N200k so that he can drink her menses.   President Muhammadu Buhari condoles with the theatre and entertainment industry, the Aliu family, and Ekiti State government on the loss of popular dramatist, Chief Jimoh Aliu, aged 80. The President salutes the dedication of the deceased to his art, which saw him forming the Jimoh Aliu Concert Party In 1966, remaining committed to drama and entertainment for over 50 years. President Buhari says the man popularly called Aworo, will be missed by all lovers of good drama, and commends his skills as a well-rounded artist, having been a sculptor, film writer, playwright, actor and director, rolled into one. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced this after Hon Tanko Tunga, the Majority Leader of the House presented the 7 bills on behalf of the governor during the House proceedings in Lafia today.
