GOV. SOLUDO'S PALLIATIVES ARE IN EXCESS OF 5 BILLION NAIRA By Paul Nwosu For the records and in the interest of naysayers, it's very important to clarify that Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo (CFR) has since put in place a comprehensive set of palliatives that are in excess of N5 billion to mitigate the hardship brought about by the removal of the fuel subsidy regime. It is also crucial to clarify that out of the initial N5 billion announced by President Bola Tinubu (GCFR) to be given to states, which some media commentators have continued to misrepresent, it’s only N2 billion that has been released, partly as loan, of which the States are expected to pay back 48 percent while the Federal Government will pay the remaining 52 percent. Their assertion has been that David Ombugadu won the election. The legal saga unfolded as the tribunal ruled in favour of Ombugadu, overturning the initial election results. However, the appellate court, last week, upheld Governor Sule’s victory, causing further turmoil and disillusionment among Ombugadu’s supporters. Meanwhile, Ombugadu has escalated the legal battle by appealing th

Italian media rates Chukwueze low Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze has earned a poor rating despite earning the chance from start in AC Milan’s clash against Frosinone on Saturday, hoping to build on the goal he scored against Borussia Dortmund in the UEFA Champions League. However, as highlighted by Andrea Longoni, he took a step back instead. The Nigerian has been struggling at the start of this season but finally got off the mark with a great goal against Dortmund mid-week. Against Frosinone, however, he didn’t have as much success and was named the clear flop by Gazzetta dello Sport. Several players did very well for Milan, such as Theo Hernandez and Luka Jovic, but Chukwueze took a step back as argued by Andrea Longoni. In his editorial for MilanNews, he highlighted Nigerian’s main issue. “On the other hand, Chukwueze took a step backwards compared to the positive performance in the Champions League against Dortmund. Too many mistakes, sometimes he wants to overdo it but it o
