 Anambra State Govt. Rescues 13 Children From Traffickers, Arrests Suspects By OCHA Brigade Media  13 children have been rescued from suspected child traffickers in Otolo Nnewi by a joint taskforce of Operation Clean And Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade and Anambra State Ministry of Women Affairs. The joint taskforce also confiscated fake documents that aided the trafficking.  The children were found malnourished and have been denied education.  Report say that the trafficker adopts and sold children to people from different parts of the country. EVANS PLEADED GUILTY TO 2 COUNTS OF CONSPIRACY & KIDNAPPING TODAY IN COURT.{PHOTOS}.

There was a graveyard silence in the crowded courtroom after suspected billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, popularly known as Evans, pleaded guilty to the first of the two counts of conspiracy and kidnapping brought against him. The Lagos State government Wednesday arraigned Evans alongside Uche Amadi, Ogechi Uchechukwu, Okwuchukwu Nwachukwu, Chilaka Ifeanyi, and Victor Aduba on a two count charge of conspiracy to commit kidnapping and kidnapping. According to the government, the suspects had conspired on February 14th at about 7.45pm at Ilupeju, Lagos, to kidnap one Donatus Dunu and collect €223,000 for his release. After he pleaded guilty when the first charge was read, there was a slight pause, and then the judge ordered the court registrar to repeat the question. Evans repeated the same answer.       A woman , Chioma Pius, has accused men of the Rivers State Police Command of assaulting her for having tattoos on her body . Pius, who claimed to be travelling in a cab from Bayelsa to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, on Monday , said she was stopped by the policemen at Elebrada Junction, Emohua, Rivers State. She alleged that after introducing herself to the policemen, the head of the patrol team accused her of being rude. She claimed that the officers subsequently pounced on her and pummelled her . “I experienced the worst day of my life on Monday . I was brutalised by some police officers in the Emohua area of Rivers State; at a highway leading to Bayelsa State. “My crime was that I tattooed my body . LAGOS STATE PROMOTES 3000 STAFF ACROSS 20 LOCAL GOVERNMENT.

                More than 3000 Local Government Staff across the 20 Local Government and 37 Local Council Development Areas in the State who were successful in the 2017 Staff promotion exercise have been promoted by the Lagos State Government. The Permanent Secretary, Local Government Service Commission, Mrs. Omobolanle Ogunmola said that out of 3266 eligible officers in the 57 LG/LCDAs, 3045 were successful in the 2017 Staff Performance Evaluation (Promotion) Exercise . Ogunmola urged the newly promoted Staff to alive to their responsibilities and justify their new positions by remaining committed to delivering the dividends of democracy to people in the State.              The need for the royal fathers in Ekiti State to ensure sustainability of current peace enjoying in the State has again been stressed. Governor Ayodele Fayose made the remarks during the inauguration of Oba Michael Ademolaju as the new chairman of Ekiti Council of Obas held at the government house in Ado. He advised the new chairman to see his post as an opportunity to serve Ekiti people, hence the need for him to build on the already laid foundation by his predecessors. 5 NIGERIAN PILGRIMS DIED IN SAUDI ARABIA-NAHCON.

        Five Nigerian pilgrims have so far died in Saudi Arabia, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) said yesterday. NAHCON’s head of the medical team, Dr Ibrahim Kana, who disclosed this at a pre-Arafat meeting with stakeholders, also said that a female pilgrim gave birth, while another had a miscarriage. “I don’t want to name the state but she was 38 weeks pregnant and she even had baby things in her bag during screening but she was allowed to travel,” he said.Sources said that the pilgrim was from Kogi State.Kana described the pre-Arafat deaths as the lowest in years.              Facebook user, Nolly Lee, shared a post on his page yesterday about an assistant lecturer of the Ebonyi state University who he claims is currently facing a panel in the school for sexual victimization of female students, bribery, and other illicit acts. Nolly, who is a former student of the school, asked his fellow alumni to state whether or not they want the lecture r to be sacked. Female students of the school came to the comment section to narrate their experiences with him and how he victimized them for not sleeping with them or paying a bribe. Even male students came out to accuse the lecturer of victimizing their girlfriends.More photos below.
