 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                     According to sources,Ghana main opposition leader Nana Akufo-Addo,has won the presidential election after President John Mahama conceded defeat.Akufo-Addo said on Twitter that Mahama had caalled him ''Congratulating me on wining the 2016 Presidential Election''.Earlier,Mahama had appealed for calm and told his supporters he would respect the outcome of the vote whether he won or lost,in comments aimed at defusing tension ahead of the release of official results of the vote.''I want to assure the nation that we will respect the outcome of the election,positive or negative,and so let us just be calm,'' he told supporters gathered outside his house.Congratulation.One more photo above.

                       The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on tuesday December 6,2016 arraigned one Obohor John Damilola {a.k.a Frank Mcghee Clinton} before Justice D.U Okorowoo of the Ekiti State High Court,Ado Ekiti,on a 24 count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence,possession of fraudulent documents,concealment and retention of proceed of crime.Obohor however pleaded not guilty.One of the charges reads: ''That you Obonor John Damilola {a.k.a Frank Mcghee Clinto} on or about the 21st of June,2016 a Ado-Ekiti within the jurisdiction of his Honourable Court with intent to defraud,obtained the sum of $3200 USD {Three Thousand Two Hundred United State of America Dollars} from Lusmar Duprey Marte,a United State of American Citizen when you falsely represented that you are one Frank Mcghee Clinton of the United States of American Army,which representation you knew to be false and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 1{1}{a} and punishable under

30 NIGERIANS LOST THEIR LIVES IN A BOMB BLAST TODAY IN ADAMAWA STATE.

                  According to sources,the death toll in the twin blasts which rocked a market in Madagali area of Adamawa state has reached 30.The explosions occurred at a market today in Madagali town in northern part of Adamawa State,the military has confirmed.Residents told Daily Trust that two suspected female suicide of Madagali market Friday morning and killed dozens of people.The spokesperson of 28 Task Force Battalion in Mubi,Major Badare Akintoye said 30 civilians died in the attack while those injured were receiving medical attention in hospitals in Mubi and nearby Gulak.The Chairman of Madagali Local Government,Yusuf Muhammad called on federal government to deploy soldiers to the surrounding areas where he said Boko Haram insurgents set up camps.He described the attack as set back,to relative peace enjoyed by residents who resumed normal commercial and social activities following successful military operations.

EFCC ARRESTED A SUSPECTED LAND RACKETEER IN IBADAN WHO SWINDLED SEVERAL VICTIMS WITH FAKE LAND DOCUMENTS.{PHOTO}.

                                               Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,on December 6,2016 arrested one Raheem Adebunmi Adisa,in Ibadan,Oyo State,for offences bordering on land scam,and obtaining money by false pretence.The arrest of Adisa followed investigations into a petition,which alleged that the accused land racketeer has swindled several unsuspecting victims to the tune of N3,000,000 {Three Million}.He was said to have been involved in the sale of plots of land with an uncompleted building on it,located at plots 7 & 8 Akinsola Layout,off Olorunda Abba Road,Kanku,Onikokoro,Ibadan.He allegedly sold the landed propoerty to the petitioner with fake documents while posing as the owner of the property.However,,while atteempting to take possession of the property,he discovered that he had been swindled by Adisa.Intelligence report on Adisa has it that he is a habitual land scammer whose stock in trade is to defraud unsuspecting members of the
