 Eid-El-Fitri: LAWMA Calls for Responsible Waste Disposal … to provide backup services during the festivities The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has called on residents to properly bag and dispose of their waste, through their PSP operators, during and after the Eid-El-Fitri festivities. Managing Director/CEO of LAWMA, Dr. Muyiwa Gbadegesin, in a statement issued today, disclosed that the Authority had put adequate measures in place to ensure that the celebration was observed in a dirt-free environment. He said, “As we mark this year’s Eid-El-Fitri, it is important that we do so in an environment-friendly manner. For this reason, we have put adequate measures in place to ensure that cleanliness is maintained across the metropolis during and after this period”.                     In a determined effort to ensure that private schools operating in the State conform to the quality standard of education set by the present administration as well as deliver quality service like their public counterparts,Lagos State Government has disclosed that it would commence enumeration of all registered private schools operating in the State from September 26,2016.The State Deputy Governor,Dr .Idiat Oluranti Adebule,who disclosed this today at the 3rd quarterly stakeholders forum of private schools owners held at the Secretariat,Alausa,Ikeja,emphasized the State government's determination to ensure that all school children have access to quality education irrespective of whether they attend private or public schools,adding that part of the tools at government's disposal to achieve this objective is maintaining accurate and precise data on schools and their mode of operations,which she said the census seeks to a...

                                                  Yesterday sunday i was awake to watch the live red carpet moment and off cos i  snapped some photos from E! and is so amazing how serious and un-serious some actress took the 68 Emmys awards that was held at Los Angeles.While some celebrities used the opportunity to bare their chest.Even Regina King almost fell off the stairs immediately after her interview with Giuliana Rancic as pictured below immediately after the write-up and i was quick to photograph it because everything happened so quick..I heard that Game of Thrones has broken the record for the highest number of Emmy Awards.The show's total number of awards now stands at 38,which means it has beaten Frasier's previous record of 37.More photos below.

                         According to sources,Charmian Carr,who played Liesl in the film Sound of Music died at the age of 73.She died in Los Angeles on saturday after complications from a rare form of dementia.In her role in the 1965 film where she play the role of the eldest daughter to Captain Von Trapp,she famously performed the song Sixteen Going on Seventeen.After leaving the film industry,Carr ran an interior design firm in California.Her mother had arranged for her to audition for the role,although she had no singing or acting lessons.Carr later wrote two books on her experience ''Forever Liesl and Letters to Liesl'' and she frequently appeared at events commemorating the movie.Her only other major role was in the Stephen Sondheim television musical Evening Primrose.I watched the Sound of Music growing up and I even titled my first music album Sounds of Music just because of this movie and I watch this movie every ...
