EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

                 Ifako Ijaiye representative in the Lagos House of Representatives Hon. Elijah Adewale slumped and died today thursday morning in his house in Abuja.According to sources,Adewale who was born in 1951 was attending the caucus meeting of the House of Representatives yesterday evening and that he slumped in his house and died very early today thursday morning.The cause of his death is not yet known.May his soul rest in peace AMEN.

                  South Africa government want to appeal Oscar Pistorius six year murder sentence because it was ''Shockingly lenient''.The National Prosecuting Authority {NPA} said ''The sentence of six years imprisonment,in all the circumstances,is disproportionate to the crime of murder committed,that is to say,shockingly too lenient''.he Prosecutors said that the appeal papers will be filed on thursday,saying that Pistorius term was less than half  of the 15 years that the prosecutors were aiming for.

GOVERNOR FAYOSE'S AIDE,WAS GRANTED BAIL TODAY BY A HIGH COURT IN ABUJA.

               FCT High Court sitting in Abuja today thursday,July 21,2015,granted N50 million bail to Abiodun Agbele,an aide to Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State.Besides,the accused will produce two sureties of the Director Cadre in the civil service.Agbele is being prosecuted by the EFCC for allegedly buying properties for Fayose from the N1.219billion he received from a former Minister of Defence,Musiliu Obanikoro on behalf of Fayose during the build up to the Ekiti Governorship election in June 2014.More photos below.
