 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

N30MILLION BOUNTY: GOVERNOR WIKE ANNOUNCES THE CAPTURE OF BOBRISKY BY THE NIGERIAN ARMY.#PRESS RELEASE.

     Less than 24 hours after Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike placed a N30million bounty on notorious cultist, Bobrisky of Gokana, the Nigerian Army has captured him, with Governor Wike confirming that he will redeem the pledge. Speaking during a security meeting with leaders of Rumuolumeni Community at the Government House Port Harcourt on Friday, Governor Wike thanked the Nigerian A rmy for capturing the suspected cultist. "The Army has captured Bobrisky of Gokana. I will pay the bounty that I promised to the Nigerian Army. "Anyone who generates insecurity in Rivers State, I am ready to pay any amount to ensure the arrest of that person". Governor Wike called on community leaders to supply information to the State Security council on criminals in their communities for the security agencies to act frontally to reduce crime. POLICEMAN KILLED BY MOB FOR SHOOTING PREGNANT WOMAN DEAD IN LAGOS.{PHOTOS}.

      An Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) was killed by an angry mob, for shooting a pregnant woman dead at Agbole area of Ijegun in Egbe-Idimu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) on Friday August 9. The pregnant tailor identified as Biliki was hit by a stray bullet in her shop after the policeman identified as Damilare Olarenwaju, recklessly opened fire while chasing a boy labeled a “yahoo boy” in the street. Biliki was reportedly rushed to the hospital but died shortly after.       The Obituary of Reverend Father Paul Offu who was murdered by suspected herdsmen along the Ihe-Agbudu Road in Awgu on Thursday, August 1st, has been released. According to the lineup of activities, the remains of the 49-year-old clergyman who was shot dead while on his way for mass, will be laid to rest at the Holy Ghost Cathedral, Ogui in Enugu state on Tuesday August 20th.         PRESS RELEASE UPDATE ON THE SHOOTING INCIDENT THAT LEAD TO THE DEATH OF MR. CHIMAOBI NWAOGWU AT UMUOKEREKE NGWA COMMUNITY OF ABIA STATE In reference to our earlier press release on the incident that led to the shooting of one innocent Nigerian citizen, Mr. Chimaobi Nwaogu of Umuokereke-Ngwa Community in Obingwa LGA of Abia State, the Headquarters of the 82 Division of Nigerian Army (NA) wishes to inform the general public that further investigation  on the unfortunate incident revealed that Lance Corporal Ajayi Johnson, one of the soldiers deployed to Forward Operations Base Ohanze, for security duty absconded from his duty post to an unknown destination. He was thereafter, reported to have been involved in a scuffle that led to the shooting and killing of Mr. Chimaobi, who is an Okada rider, on Wednesday, 7 August 2019. The soldier has since been arrested and detained, while a disciplinary procedure is in progress. He will be tried according to extant military laws
