 Noise pollution: Lagos seals five churches, 19 hotels The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency has temporarily shut down no fewer than five churches and 19 hotels over noise pollution between March 23 and April 26  Calculations by our correspondent also showed that no fewer than four markets and shopping complexes were also shut down over noise pollution and other environmental infractions. The churches that have been temporarily sealed include St Monica’s Hall of Our Lady of Lord’s Catholic Church, Christ Rock of Fire Ministry, Wonderful Bible Prayer Ministries, God’s Porch Ministries, and an unnamed Catholic Church Some of the hotels affected are School2bar, Blue Seasons Hotel and Suites, Sulerious Lakeside Hotel, Monero Hotel and Suites, and Lekki Hotel and Suites.   A woman in Kano whose whereabouts is still not clear at the moment, has been reported to kill her own two biological children, after her husband left the house to visit his second wife. The woman who as of now we have only been able to identify as "Hauwa", was said to have committed the shocking act in the absence of her husband. The husband's brother who spoke to news men said, the woman has since been very angry and jealous, after his brother took a second wife some few months ago. The woman who is suspected to have ran back to her father's house, actually started with beating her own two children, before she reached for a knife with which she cut her children. The two children, a boy and a girl, later died. The mother called the father who was away at the house of his second wife to tell him that all wasn't well at home. LASG CONDUCTS SCREENING TEST FOR 8,550 PUPILS.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

  In continuation of the Year 2020 Entrance Examination (Screening Test) into Lagos State Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools, the State Examination Board on Saturday conducted Paper Pencil Test (PPT) for 8,550 Primary Six pupils in 55 centres across the State. Speaking on the conduct of the screening test, the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo, stated that the exercise was smooth and hitch-free in all the centres, adding that the turnout was also very impressive. The Commissioner, represented by the Permanent Secretary, in the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Abosede Adelaja, informed that the pupils are not writing examination but are being screened based on their intelligence in order to determine those that are qualified for admission into Model Colleges.
