EFCC TASKFORCE ARRESTS 34 SUSPECTED CURRENCY SPECULATORS IN ABUJA. (PHOTOS). #PRESS RELEASE.

 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

ALLEGATION OF SOLDIERS BEING SHORTCHANGED MISGUIDED, UNTRUE The Nigerian Army(NA) has noted with concern the report by some online media alleging that some "pseudo" aggrieved personnel wrote an open letter to the President, accusing the top brass of the Nigerian Army (NA) of corruption and extortion. More worrisome is the insinuation that soldiers have threatened to embark on strike; an action which is tantamount to mutiny in the Armed Forces of Nigeria.   Contrary to the report, the NA, as part of her effort to guard against fraudulent practices and entrench accountability and transparency in the system, subscribed to the Integrated Personnel Pay Roll System (IPPS) as directed by the Federal Government, since 2018 and this has facilitated flawless payment of salaries and allowances of personnel. Igbo Pregnant Woman Killed, Properties Burnt As Okada Riders & Traders Clash In Abuja  Some people have been reportedly killed during a clash between traders and commercial motorcyclists, popularly called Okada riders at Dei Dei, a community in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Shops, houses and vehicles were set ablaze in the violence that ensued. A source stated that an accident involving a commercial motorcyclist led to the clash. 5th palliative: Zulum shares N30m, food, textile to 6,000 in Gwange  … 18,000 out of 100,000 targets now reached  … Zulum reveals Dangote, FG provided food Borno State Governor, Professor Babagana Umara Zulum on Wednesday took part at the fifth in series of ongoing distribution of palliatives, during which 6,000 vulnerable men and women of Gwange I, II, and III wards benefited.  The distribution took place around 7:30am at a primary school located around Filin Parade, in Gwange, Maiduguri.  The Governor supervised the sharing of N30m to 3,000 women each, who received the sum of N10,000 alongside a wrapper and a carton of food items containing packets of spaghetti, macaroni, semolina, salt, sugar, and seasoning.  Zulum also distributed 3,000 bags of rice (50kg) to each of 3,000 men.  The combined number of 6,000 men and women were drawn from the three wards in Gwange (made up of Gwange I, II, and III) with 2,000 beneficiaries identified from each of the wards.   The Governor explained t
