 EFCC Taskforce Arrests 34 Suspected Currency Speculators in Abuja Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, attached to the Taskforce on Currency mutilation, Dollarization of the Economy and Forex Malpractice, have arrested 34 suspected currency speculators  for alleged foreign exchange fraud. They were arrested on Friday, April 26, 2024 in a sting operation following credible intelligence about illegal sales of dollars at the Wuse Zone 4 area of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.   The suspects are :Usman Mohammed, Abdullahi Nasir, Abubakar Saleh, Mohammed Kabir Ibrahim, Abubakar Ghadafi, Muktar Usman, Umar Abubakar Abba, Yakubu Sani, Aminu Abubakar, Muhammed Suleman Abara, Yusuf Tahir, Usman Lawal, Usman Lawal, Usman Umar, Amina Garba Rola, Muhammed Aliyu, Murtala Haruna, Sani Mohammed, Umar Farouk, Muhammed Sagiuru, Aminu Salisu, Lawal Bello, Munzali Hashim, Jamilu Suleiman, Mustapha Umar, Mubarak Tanimu, Adamu Garba, Mohammed Usman, Bello Musa, Saleh Moha

ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY: SHUN CALLS FOR DIVISION,INTER-ETHNIC WRANGLINGS- GOV. ABIODUN.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

  Ogun State governor, Dapo Abiodun, has called on Nigerians to shun calls for division, insurgency, banditry and all inter-ethnic, religious and politically motivated wranglings capable of disintegrating the country. Rather, they should embrace team-spirit, brotherliness and compassion for fellow beings. The governor made this call on Friday, at the 2021 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, held at the Arcade Ground, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta. He noted that in order not to make sacrifices made by the country's fallen heroes be in vain, Nigerians must encourage the use of democratic and appropriate institutions in the processes of seeking redress. BENIN MAGISTRATE SENTENCES STRIPPED TRICYCLE RIDER WHO ASSAULTED FRSC PERSONNEL IN JULY, 2020 TO 3 MONTHS IMPRISONMENT.{PHOTOS}.#PRESS RELEASE.

  A Magistrate Court sitting in Benin city, Edo State has on Monday, 11 January, 2021, sentenced Mr Adeshina Adeyemo, a tricycle operator that assaulted FRSC personnel and stripped himself naked along Benin / Sapele road in July 2020 to 3 months imprisonment for attacking patrol operatives and damaging of patrol vehicle belonging to the Federal Road Safety Corps. According to the FRSC spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, Mr Adeshina was arraigned with a case file number MEV/117C/2020 before His Worship, Snr Magistrate F. Ojehumen of the Evbuoriaria Magistrate Court B on a 2 count charge bordering on conducting himself in a manner likely to cause breach of public peace; and for maliciously damaging FRSC patrol vehicle during patrol operations along Sapele-Benin road on 16 July, 2020. In a video uploaded to Facebook, Elder Prophet TB Joshua reveals the reason why he was unable to attend his biological daughter’s wedding. Let us remember that his first daughter was married on December 16, 2020 to her South African husband, who was also a worker at the Synagogue of the Church of All Nations. People did not expect the wedding to be missed because the bride in question is his biological daughter, while the groom is his spiritual son. However, everyone who was present at the event was taken aback by his absence.  Since then, people have been trying to find out his reasons for not attending the wedding.
