For me, the oath was much more than a requirement for assumption of office. It was a tripartite covenant between God and I, on one part, and the people of Ogun State, on the other. On a personal note, I have always seen the providential twist in all I do. This also played out in the coincidence of my assumption of office as Governor of this great State and my day of birth. This to me is not a mere coincidence. It is a day to count my blessings from the past. Also, it gives me a new veritable platform to begin higher service to humanity. This is what this office means to me, and it will continue to fuel my unwavering commitment to serve God and the good people of Ogun State, who are the true essence and owners of government. 2. In the last one year, therefore, we have committed ourselves to rekindling the hope and re-igniting
