                  Today thursday morning the screening of Ex-Governor Rotimi Amaech of Rivers state,was postponed again by the Nigerian Senate,including other ministerial nominees that are still awaiting screening.The Senate announced the postponement via a post on twitter today morning.The tweets states that ''Ladieand gentlemen.There will be no #Ministerial Screening today.We will continue on tuesday.We will tweet CVs of new nominees''.Today thursday about an hour ago,the Senate President on his social media page wrote ''Today,i officially wrote to President Muhammadu Buhari that the Senate has found the 18 nominees who have gone through confirmation hearing suitable to occupy office of minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as provided for in Section 147{2} of the constitution''.More photos below.                              

                  A 15 day state of emergency was declared by the Niger government to allow authorities to beef up security,impose a curfew and restrict the movement of goods and people.The state of emergency was imposed on the southeastern region of Diffa yesterday wednesday where at least 40 people have been killed in recent weeks in attacks blamed on the Islamist militant group Boko Haram.The government instituted similar measures in February.Diffa has endured at least 57 attacks since February,which was shown through a statistics published by the United Nations on friday.At least 150,000 refugees seeking protection from Boko Haram attacks in Nigeria line in Niger's Diffa region.Am so looking forward to a day when all these insurgency will end.One more photo below.

                   According to BBC,Olympic an Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius,who was sentenced to five years in prison in 2014 after being found guilty of culpable homicide,or manslaughter will be freed from prison to house arrest next week tuesday.He shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp through a locked bathroom door but said he thought she was an intruder on valentines day.The prosecution has appealed,saying he should instead be convicted of murder.His case is expected to be heard on 3 November next month.He has spent 12 months in jail and now he will spend the rest of his sentence under what is term in  South Africa  as ''Correction Supervision''.An earlier decision to release him in August was blocked by South Africa's Justice Minister Michael Masutha,who said it had been made Prematurely.One more photo below.                                                                                                                                                      

                             Today thursday,the Lagos State House of Assembly finally confirmed the 37 cabinet nominees of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for the state Executive Council.The confirmation,which took place during plenary,was preceded by the presentation of a report of the 15 man committee,headed by Wasiu Eshinlokun Sanni,the Deputy Speaker of the House,set up to screen the nominees.Eshinlokun revealed that all the nominees were invited by the committee and that they all submitted copies of their resumes and certificates.He also said the documents submitted were thoroughly verified by the committee,which sat for one week from monday,5 October to friday,9 October,2015.Speaker of the House,Mudasiru Obasa,asked the Clerk of the House,Mr Segun Abiru,to send a letter to the governor indicating that the nominees had been confirmed by the House.The report was taken after the House embarked on a general screening of the House during which the nominees were simply asked to introduce the
