 STAEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE   PRESIDENT TINUBU: WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUSTAIN BUHARI'S LEGACIES.   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Monday in Abuja, stated that his administration will continue to honour former President Muhammadu Buhari by sustaining his legacies of purposeful leadership, discipline, integrity, and the belief that public office is a trust, not a windfall.   President Tinubu made this commitment at the State House Conference Centre during the unveiling and public presentation of the book, *From Soldier to Statesman – The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari*, authored by Dr Charles Omole.   He said the book offers Nigerians the opportunity to learn from President Buhari, and affirmed that the greatest honour to bestow on the late President is to sustain his legacies.   "This book reinforces the public memory. 2 INEC OFFICIAL IN EDO STATE,SACKED OVER DISAPPEARANCE OF RESULT SHEET.

                            Two Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC,attached to Oredo and Orhiomwon Local Government Areas of Edo state  over their alleged involvement in the disappearance of result sheets provided for elections in those areas on the 28 of March Presidential and National Assembly elections.The state Resident Electoral Commissioner {REC} Barrister Mike Igini,who announced this during a meeting with the leaders of All Progressive Congress {APC} and the People Democratic Party {PDP} in the state.He also disclosed  that other officers of the Commission were being interrogated over alleged malpractices in the last elections,adding that those involved may face prosecution.According to him,areas where elections are rescheduled to hold includes the entire Orhiomwon Local Government Areas,six wards in Uhumwonde,some wards and units in Ikpoba Okhai,Ovia North East,Ovia South west and Oredo ...

A 50 YEAR OLD BLACKMAN,WAS SHOT 8 TIMES IN THE BACK BY A WHITE POLICEMAN IN SOUTH CAROLINA,USA.

               A white police officer in South Carolina has been charged with the murder of a 50 year old black man,who was shot eight times in the back as he ran away.North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey announced the charges at a hastily called news conference in which he said city Patrolman Michael Thomas Slager made a bad decision.The shooting which began as a traffic stop,occured as Americans grapple with issues of trust between law enforcement and minority communities after a series of deaths of un-named blackmen at the hands of police.They include the deaths of Michael Brown in Ferguson,Missouri,and Eric Gamer on Staten Island,New York.Both sparked protests nationwide.In the Charleston case,authorities said the victim,50 year old Walter Lamer Scott,was shot after the officer had already hit him with a stun gun.A video of the shooting released to news media outlets shows the officer firing several times at the man's back while he's running aw...
