  Indian billionaire Gautam Adani charged in US for alleged bribery, fraud Gautam Adani, the chair of Indian conglomerate Adani Group and one of the world’s richest people, whose business empire extends from ports and airports to renewable energy,has been indicted in New York over an alleged multibillion-dollar fraud scheme, United States prosecutors have said. The authorities on Wednesday charged Adani and two other executives at Adani Green Energy, his nephew Sagar Adani and Vneet Jaain, with agreeing between 2020 and 2024 to pay more than $250m in bribes to Indian government officials to obtain solar energy supply contracts expected to yield $2bn in profits. Prosecutors said the renewable energy company also raised more than $3bn in loans and bonds during this period based on false and misleading statements.                     The wife of the Lagos State governor,Bolanle Ambode,has appealed to Nigerian women to shun any act or behaviour that is capable of aiding corruption.                                             The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,today,February 23rd,2017,arraigned the duo of Aneke Collins Nnamdi and Sifon Samuel Israel both students of Federal Polytechnics,Oko,Anambra before Justice Theophine U. Oguji of the State High Court sitting in Awka,Anambra State,on a four count charge bordering on Conspiracy and Stealing. First City Momument Bank had petitioned the Commission that they received report from one of their customers,Girls Secondary School,Awka,over an unauthorized web trabsfer of over N10 million on their account with the bank.The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to them.In view of their plea,the prosecution counsel,M. T. Iko asked the court to fix a date for the commencement of trial and urged the court to remand the defendants in prison custody.However,the defense counsel,J.N. Okongwu asked for a short date to file his bail application.The case was adjourned to 22 March and 4,9 May,2

                         Yesterday the 22 of February 2017,Viscum private school Omole phase 2 Ikeja Lagos held their inter-house sport.The school owned by a popular Senator whose son is also a Local Government Chairman of Yaba were all present at the event in which there was heavy presence of security at the event.Think of the games it all took place,from running,to pulling of ropes to relays and invitation relays.I was present at the event and i lost my voice cheering for my house Pink house lol.But at the end i had fun,the parents and the children also had fun but blue and red house are really doing well in sports.The red house wore pink cap am sure the person that purchase the caps for them have colour blindness because red is not pink #my observation.More photos below.

LAGOS TASK FORCE RESCUES FOUR MONTH OLD BABY DUMPED AT OSHODI+ARRESTED THE MOTHER OF THE BABY.{READ}.

                        The officers of the Lagos State Task Force have rescued a four-month old baby wrapped inside a bag and dumped under the bridge in Oshodi,just as the suspected mother was arrested while trying to escape from the area. Speaking on the incident,the Chairman of the State Task Force,SP Olayinka Egbeyemi disclosed that while on monitoring duty at Oshodi,the enforcement team of the Agency apprehended the suspected mother and rescued the abandoned baby boy,who was neatly packed inside a bag. On interrogation,the alleged Mother,Miss Timilehin Adeshina,18yrs,confessed that she dumped the baby because she could no longer take care of him as none of her family members was willing to accommodate her with the baby.According to her,''My mother,Mrs Zabela Adeshina from Delta State,sent me out because I gave birth and could not identify the man who impregnated me as different men slept with me.I also dropped out of school while in JSS II at Lovely School,Ejigbo,Lagos b

                    The report recently published by the Amnesty International {AI} alleging death of 240 people including babies in Borno and 177 pro Biafran agitators,is yet another in its series of spurious fabrications aimed at tarning the good image of the Nigerian military.Without mincing words,the allegations contained in the said report are not only inconceivable but has no place in the Nigerian military.The report is rather contrived lies orchestrated to blackmail and ridicle the Nigerian Armed Forces which they have unsuccessfully tried to do in the past. EFCC RECOVERS 17 VEHICLES FROM EX-COMPTROLLER GENERAL OF CUSTOMS,ABDULLAHI DIKKO INDE.{PHOTOS}.

                 The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC,has recovered seventeen exotic vehicles in a warehouse of the former Comptroller General of Custom,Abdullahi Dikko Inde located at Nnamdi Azikwe Street,Kaduna.Thee recovery was sequel to an intelligence the commission received that stolen money and properties suspected to proceeds of crime were being stored in the warehouse.Upon receipt of intelligence,a team of operatives from the Kano Zonal Office were deployed to carry out the investigation.On arrival at the location,two individuals who were discovered to be the custodians of the property,Dantala Mohammed and Ahmed Balarabe were presented with a search warrant.Upon executing the search warrant,a total of seventeen amongst them brand new cars,shuttle busses and SUVs were discovered.Consequently,the vehicles and the two individuals who are now also suspects in the investigation were conveyed to the Commission's zonal offices in Kaduna and Kano respectively for furt
