 Sinead O'Conner's official cause of death released 1 year after her untimely passing. Sinead O'Conner passed away back in July of 2023, and although there was much speculation at the time, many speculated or alluded to her ending her own life, the official cause of death has been finally released. On her death certificate that was obtained by the Irish Independent, the official cause of death is listed as Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Asthma. Sinead was a very popular and a one-of-a-kind icon from the 90's to present day. She is missed by many.

An enormous wildfire has grown by 8 sq miles an hour (20 sq km) as it spreads across parts of northern California. The Park fire, which started on Wednesday in a suspected arson attack, has burned more than 348,000 acres of land north-east of Chico, and was 0% contained on Saturday, the state's fire agency Cal Fire said. About 2,500 firefighters are battling the blaze, which has been fuelled by steep terrain and wind gusts. A 42-year-old man was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of starting the fire by rolling a burning car into a gully near Alligator Hole in Butte County. It is now the largest fire in the state this year, and has consumed an area more than 1.5 times the size of New York City’s five boroughs. Speaking at a Stakeholders' meeting in Abeokuta on Saturday, the Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Jamiu Omoniyi, said the state government intends to give the state a world-class new city that would be the pride of all. According to him, the plan of the state government is to recreate Banana Island or Parkview Estates in Ogun State with the Ibara scheme as the starting point.  Aremo Alao Gets Federal Appointment A former two- time Commissioner in Osun State, Aremo Adekunle Alao, has been appointed as a Federal Commissioner representing Osun State, in the Federal Public Complaints Commission. His name was among the 22 nominees sent for appointment as Chairman and Members of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) by President Bola Tinubu and as announced on the floor of the Senate by the President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, in compliance with Section 2(1) of the Public Complaints Commission Establishment Act. The new Federal Commissioner holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from the University of Jos. The appointment is for a five year term renewable for a second term subject to the confirmation of the National Assembly.
